Coronation finish (5/6):

So, when I last left off it was Saturday afternoon May 6th and I was still in shock from getting the "Glory of Atenveldt" and hungry, so court ended and we got lunch at the kiosk on the lawn. Got a lovely picture of me, Duchess Deborah and [personal profile] lferion which I need to get  copy.  Got fed and then things taken care of before we headed into court. Ari and I had been doing our standard "untangle yarn at coronation" schtick.  Her Ravenclaw socks were being persnickety.  We had lots of people just agog at our efforts to not cut the yarn.  We got about 85 % done by the time the second court finished.  Now back to my previous post...I knew things were happening...and it was a waiting game while our new to Atenveldt Majesties (they'd reigned many times in Meridies). They did a play which was funny and having Count Dennis of the Titan's being the "voice of tradition" for Atenveldt was a really nice way.   So the big finale of the coronation court was them calling up the pelicans and speaking about service etc, and keeping with the schtick from earlier HRM Amber (a member of the Laurelate) talked about art and how people can do both service and art and called up the Laurels.  I sallied up to the front of the area and purposely did not look to where I knew the candidate was...since I'd known this was coming.  They called up my wonderful apprentices husband Domnall (Domegnev) and the crowd went wild.  He was a bit thunderstruck. His knight, [livejournal.com profile] americanknight was ecstatic.    Yay!!!!!

So we know what the summer work will be since he will be answering the offer in Sept.  Research has shown that the last time a laurel/pel was given was to Aaron Swiftrunner (former Society Seneschal) whom I know quite well from my time as seneschal the first time during the embezzlement fiasco.  So that is cool.  He deserves it and the household is also just happy as clams.  There was some drama where they forgot to call out Asa as a Duchess of Atenveldt and they never thanked Ari for her service as Signet before I took over.  The Kingdom herald took to FB to "fix" that but seriously.  That was lame.

Sunday was another busy day where Sam and I got the signet case all reorganized and sorted withteh 40+ scrolls that got turned in by Twin Moons. I sat and chatted with people and watched teh tourneys and it was nice.  Mel and 7 other guys made it to the king's champion finals and they realized that they all were going to different events and they had the "hateful 8" for the champions. Morgan was the true victor but they all are going to be a rotating stock of Champions.  So Monday at scriptorium Poe designed a hyrda with the heads of each of the winners.  She got them laminated for badges for them to wear.  Its cool.

The weekend after coronation I was running Baronial A&S in BTY.  There were issues with the site that made a few things annoying but all in all it went well. We got things to look really nice and there was good art on display.  I put on like 13-14k steps that day and was dog tired when I was done.  Hrafnheim won the household championship again. Ivan won the Championship even though he didn't enter. They basically talked with everyone (but him, he was off site dropping boy off at a party) and missed them asking him.  Lol.  But its all good.  We had a nice turnout but not spectacular. The smoked chicken we did was a big hit with Ari's curry.

Work has been nuts. Lots of OT and me not having the time to work the OT. Sighs.  The weekend after A&S Mel went to San Diego with Paul for a kung fu thing.  I coped wth being a single parent but did some work around the house etc.  The following weekend (memorial day) was PHXCC.

There is a lot to say about that con.  There was a lot of stupid, There was a lot of awesome but we did have fun.  Dick Van Dyke, The voices of Batman the Animated Series, Alan Tydk and John De Lancie were faboo.

The album of Con

Ari won the con with Jim Butcher freaking the heck out over her Mab.  I got stopped a lot in my Lolita which was great. And I painted on things at the SCA booth while stuff was going on for the demo portions.

Cool Pic of Ari and I in cute dresses:

This past weekend (Jun3/4) was the kingdom collegium and I took 2 classes and then sat around both days and painted scrolls.  TRM are big on giving things out and I'd done 4 pieces of calligraphy that week alone and I've been behind on on things and just wanted to finally finish something.  So the scroll I had low lighted at the con I managed to finish completely on Saturday and then started another one.

So, now I need to finish a knit hat and 2 tunics and then I can really start work on TRM clothing and Dom's scroll.

Work was work. I made harddrive backups just in case my computer takes another dump. Its been buggy all day yesterday. Worked paperwork etc but my heart wasn't in it. I am inspired and my little muses were "drink coffee! Make stuff!!!" and I had to make electronic paperwork versus something tangible.

Got done with work and drove to the school for Parent/Student/Teacher Meet and Greet. We are in Miss Sammy's class as we knew. Ben was squirrely the entire time. He was tired and overwhelmed by things plus I think he had too much sugar with Sioux but he had a fun day and went bowling. It was hot and muggy and I had to park outside of the school and down the road. I wore heels yesterday and that was a bad bad plan. My legs and feet were so sore from the 7k steps I did in them.

Got us home, all tired and cranky. Got home and reheated leftovers from Saturday for dinner. We all ate and then Ben got ready for Ben while I showed off the Loli to [livejournal.com profile] lferion and Ashley. I am going to bustle the skirt and I pinned it up with Wander's help. Got my calligraphy supplies set, grabbed the stuff for the box for [livejournal.com profile] danabren and then headed to scribble. Got there...took care of box stuff and then went through all of the scrolls we needed for the rest of the reign. Sam put names on the last even of things I'd already pulled and I did the final calligraphy for that event as well. Ari has 2 scrolls left and we are done with the reign minus 2 we are awaiting what award they will be. Yay! Not too shabby considering its August and Coronation isn't until November. Woot! I love summer reigns and organized crowns.

I'm supremely happy with the callig I did last night. Its a special scroll and I really matched the style of the scroll with the hand I chose and balanced the text well. Quite happy.

I headed home just a bit early but in the end stayed up too late again but chatting with friends is good for your soul too. I slept well, no one woke up in the middle of the night but the weather this am (dark and stormy) is making me sleepy and tired. Plus my eyes are still gummy. I have extra protein in my eyes and its still flushing out for when I put my contacts in. I think I need to flush them before I put the lenses in and then wait before eye makeup. I do have to say that putting my eyeliner on is hard now since the lens gets in the way.

Today will be get boy from martial arts, get him fed and bathed and ready for school the next day. I have picture sheets of what we need to do and will make changes as we see fit so he can see what he needs to do visually. Hopefully that works. We shall see.

Tonight after I get the "First Day of Kindergarten" Sign done I will get working on the bun covers for the lolita, the trim on the bottom of the jacket and the skirt layer that needs to be tucked up. Tomorrow will be crazy morning but good with the school stuff I hope. We are doing breakfast out to celebrate. Here is to a good day.

Monday at work was lots of paperwork. Man do I hate writing performance summaries! I finally got the details hammered out for some issues we've been working and it looks like I might be in Boston at the first of the year. Which will be cool...its my first trip to Massachusetts.

Got done with work and drove home in a drizzle. Benton was really happy to see me but was a grump during dinner. We think he's growing cause he's hungry and tired at the same time. Awww. I headed out to scribble and had a nice time there being crafty with the BFF and then worked on a scroll I started sometime over the summer. The last time I had painted was on tom's scroll and I have been taking a break since due to the amount of painting I had done. Course I have no idea where my pain palettes ended up. Will have to find them but luckily Sioux let me borrow some paint. We had lots of baked goods and good company including [livejournal.com profile] zippydclown joining us for some scroll design.

Good night and then home to finish up things. Mel was awesome and washed bottles while I pumped milk and then it was time for bed. I managed to knit a bit on mel's xmas socks and then I crashed. We all slept good it seems though Benton really wanted to sleep more. I think the 6am wake up is not his favorite. Poor little guy. He was sleepy and snuggly but when we got to daycare he brightened up to see Inara and Kaitlyn. All good.

Tonight will be more crafting after the boy goes to bed and putting away laundry...exciting I know. Still freaking out that xmas is 13 days away. GAH!
ianuk: (Default)
Well, lets see...the weekend was Dragon's Horde and the dragon made the weather HOT! Which made me a bit grumpy on Saturday...which made things weird. Mostly all my headspace..sorry if I worried folks but grumpy hot baby and grumpy hot me not so good combo. Also, why don't people ask permission to cut across tent spaces? Its annoying. Anyhoo...the day was hot and Mr. Benton got all heat rashy but he got to try applesauce for the first time and liked it and he liked frozen banana again too. Lots of good people got to have awards and one of the most special for us Southern Scriptorium Girls was the Pelican Scroll for Thegn Steffan. We'd been asked to do the commission a while back and we poured through books and kept coming back to one design that was perfect. The issue was it was beyond most of our skill levels and that is saying something. So we got to bring [livejournal.com profile] bewilde back into scribing by being the awesome drawer of "fiddly shit" for this Italianate scroll. It was a labor of love for most of us and we all learned a heck of a lot about things.

Drawing entirely by Bridget, Gold and Calligraphy by Ari, Background painting (blue) by Willa, Elsa, me. Border detail painting by Elsa, me and Ari. Miniatures by Bridget.

Here is the album, I still need to get all of the photographs/scans that [livejournal.com profile] scribe_ari took during the process too.

We got home from the event and it was time to cool down and change for the vigil. Little boy was much better getting cooler and fed well and then was out for the count. We took him to the vigil asleep in his carseat and he stayed there until we left hours later. The vigil was nice. I sat and tuned up Yanaton's brother's mandolin and played and sang with Yanaton, Illora, Joanie and [livejournal.com profile] spunkybluegrl. Wow, that was lots of fun and we had some magic moments of pure musical bliss. I played so much that my thumb got a huge blister on it from not using a pick. Go me.

So, Sunday dawned and things were just better. It wasn't as hot, we had a breeze and folks were going to see the spectacle of a knighting. Again the girls and I in the scriptorium pushed our boundries. It turned out awesome. Again, more photos to come with the calligraphy done etc.
So, drawing by Ari and Bridget, Top Minature by [livejournal.com profile] msaimeesue, Floral border painted by [livejournal.com profile] ickaimp,[livejournal.com profile] swordmage, Shoshana, Coats of arms painted by [livejournal.com profile] elinor_dear and Icka, Sky of main miniature by Shoshana, Landscapes by me with the dry river bed, rapids and shark by Bridget, trees/cactus by Shoshana, Monuments by Aysun and Elinor, City and Castle walls by me. Bridget did the tents and lots of folks worked on the horses and knights. Again I'll have more pictures of the finished object soon.

I hope to get photos of the weekend from my camera up this weekend. We shall see if i"m successful. After we left early so I could get ready for my trip the boys napped and I should have worked...it was tough going and I was up late trying to get everything done.

I left Monday morning after dropping the boy off at daycare to Alabama. The trip was sucky. The travel was okay but the business itself went sideways from the beginning. Things were ready, paperwork was missing, stuff was built wrong...you get the idea. This was really odd for this supplier and it was frustrating and I had to finish paperwork over a very slow cellular connection and it was special. I ended up working in the evening...not knitting happily while watching tv. I feel kind of guilty that things were poorly done but its not like we could have known that going in...its just frustrating. Things have now slowed from OMG GET IT DONE to sit around and wait so, well, I'm gonna leave when I get my 40 in at 230. All good.

But when I got home last night mel was happy to see me, I got good kisses at the door and the boy was uber cute. He saw me and started bouncing on his butt and put his arms up for me to pick him up. So cute. Read more... )
ianuk: (scribal)
Well, over the last week the Southern Scriptorium has been rocking and rolling things on the scroll front. Last monday we had a scroll ready for paint and we've put all of the background paint, detail work etc done over the last week on the off hours and now have the miniatures ready for [livejournal.com profile] bewilde to finish things up. Its spiffy and we all stood back from it last night and went "WOW". When you can do that to folks working on it you know its AWESOME! Plus we've all learned things and that is really important.

Also over the last week I've gotten my butt back into the gym. That is important to me and I'm glad I've been going. My hand is still jacked up and today I'm wearing my comfort sleeve to try to keep it warm and put pressure on it. During my workouts getting through all of the sets is really being impacted by my being able to grip the dumbbells. I do think I probably need to get some gloves for lifting so I have a bit of help in that arena.

Mr. Benton had double dinners last night as well and I filled each bottle to 8 oz today. We shall see if that helps him out. Course this will be hard to determine tonight since we will be at the park. Unlike the demo, mel and I have pre-coordinated what we are doing for a game plan. If all goes well, I'll be off work and home and we will be at the park right at 6pm. I'm planning on sitting and knitting and having the Benton in his stroller to hang out and hopefully fall asleep. If not well, he can sleep a lot on wednesday.

Well, time to push the paperwork.

Well, after the wackiness of yesterday things are pretty normal here. Its quiet but that is okay. I have tons to do. One thing I didn't write about yesterday was that I wednesday night I hit the gym. It was hard to motivate that way but I did it. I got there and looking at my work out sheets I was at the end of stage 2 when I took my too long of break. I was also feeling like things were quiet going right for me. I had a hard time increasing my loads on my lifting and feeling comfortable doing some of the exercises. My balance has been way wonky so doing one legged things felt weird. So I put on the weight for when I was half way through the stage and went from there. I did okay...not great on all of the sets and by the end I didn't finish all of my core work...but I was dragging and it was late and I made it to knit night at 715pm. I didn't stop for dinner or anything...that was how late I was.

Knit night was good. One of the gals had a sock she was knitting that was way too big and it got us (at least at our end of the table) into the gutter on commentary. It was awesome and just what I needed after a long tiring day. Got home and pumped and basically went to bed. Pretty lame but there you are.

Last night I got [livejournal.com profile] swordmage over to work on one of the commissions. We lucked out and had a Castle marathon on TNT and we scribed and chatted and watched tv. We made really good progress and that makes me uber happy. Even if [livejournal.com profile] bewilde is gonna kill us with fiddly bits of painting. (grin)

Mr. Benton was awesome last night and went to bed on time and had had a good day at daycare even though he was grumpy when I dropped him off. They went for a ride in a 6 seater stroller outside and he really liked it. We did have one awesome thing though. Since he is sitting up well (he still falls though not as much as a week ago) I had him in the bath and I didn't have to hold him up to get him washed...it was so nice.

He was much happier this morning and went right to playing with things when I dropped him off. Tonight will be more scribble fu on scrolls. My goal is to have all of the base painting completed and be taught more of the shading style with this one. Its very, very subtle and lots of ink work so we shall see.
ianuk: (scribal)
Well, work wise things are a bit slow...well, I guess slow is relative. I was so busy and crazy with the stuff on the container that I think I have the normal workload and I'm feeling underused. I won't complain just yet. Got a few things that have been patiently waiting for me to have some time to work and I've been doing that. The frustrating thing is that I have to wait for folks to get back to me and I hate waiting.

Got done with work and hit the gym. I mixed up things from my sheets and didn't do my first excercise correctly. It was supposed to be a front squat push press and I did a deadlift to a push press. I realized it at the end when I'd already killed myself on the rest of the sets and maybe I should have gone back and redone them. Dunno.

Got in the car and realized that the back right tire was a bit low. Got home and after I fed Benton and put him to bed mel and I changed it out. Mel was awesome and had dinner ready for me when I got home. Ben was happy that I was home and was hungry and tired. He went to bed uber early at 720 but he was tuckered out.

Finally got on the road to scribble just before 8pm and had a good time painting with the gals. I finished a florentine scroll I've been working on for a while. Its very floral and not my usual style. I need to continue pushing myself to do things I'm uncomfortable with to improve. My painting skills have not had any leaps in level in quite a while and I need to work on my shading way more. Lots of folks in my scribble are way better at it than me and I need to step up my game to keep up.

The commission scrolls are still in the sketch stages and its going well on that point. I hope in another week we can be working on the painting of them. We also had a visit from [livejournal.com profile] msgolda about another small bit of commission work that sounds like a lot of fun. With getting there late and then all of us working really well we were there until just after 10. I got home and kissed mel good night and got bottles filled and & washed and then pumped milk. I got into bed after 11pm and then was reading on Ghost Story by Jim Butcher. It comes out today in stores...its awesome thus far and I was a good girl to not read later into the night.

Oh, on the book from I finished, finally, Taken by Kim Armstrong. Its part of an over arching series and well, I'm not a fan. Its an interesting world but the writing is very very clunky. So Book #12 was that and Book #13 is the 13th Dresden novel. Apropos no?

Well, time to hit the paperwork and make some medical bill phone calls. Things are still screwed up with the boy's hospital stuff and I keep getting bills for weird things that I think should have been on the hospital bill.
ianuk: (baroness)
I started my stage 2 workout and it involved doing crazy things like bulgarian split squats, deadlifts on boxes for further reach, back lunges off of boxes while reaching forward with weights, way more core exercises and these funny cuban style arm things that about killed me. The entire workout is way more intense that stage one and I felt like a side kick...not a bit of awesome. I think part of it was that it was all new and part of it was that some of these just work really strange muscle groups. I was shaking when I was done and had a hard time pushing in the clutch so I didn't slack...just got kicked around.

Got home and mel was dealing with a grumpy boy who had fallen asleep (finally)face down ass up cuddling a turtle. The new regs at daycare (from corporate) say they can't have mobiles in the cribs or blankies or toys...most of the kids need a bit of down time throughout the day that is just snuggled up and calming down. Constant play is tiring. The corp folks that were in yesterday walked into the infant room and everyone, including Benton who isn't a herd follower with crying, started to cry. The kids aren't happy with it either and if Benton continues to behave weirdly at home I'm writing a letter to corporate. I understand that they don't want the kids in the cribs all of the time and honestly they never are but there is a fine line between good constructive play and overstimulization and I think its crossing it.

So we let the boy sleep. I got home so late that mel had dinner and [livejournal.com profile] msaimeesue sat with us since it was scribble time. Mel made grilled sausages and this nummy cilantro lime rice. Everyone else descended for scribble and I was again reminded of what an awesome group we are, how supportive we are and what a welcoming house we have that people can just be themselves and relax. Tom's scroll got worked on, other plots came about and we all had a good time. I didn't scribe but I sat at the table and did some spinning. I managed to spin a lot surprisingly which was good since I hadn't really spun much for TdF at all this week.

I had to wake Benton up for jammies and dinner and then he was back to sleep again. He slept really good until this morning though so hopefully this will pass. We shall see though.
ianuk: (scribal)
We were in a very creative place last night while brainstorming commissions and we got sidetracked into this...
A is for... )
ianuk: (scribal)
Well, since the day started out weird I was hoping to would be okay and it ended up just fine. I got to leave work almost on time and had accomplished quite a few things for a monday. Podling was very, very active all day and that was a treat and I in general felt good though I was tired and sore.

Headed to glenn's for an adjustment and I wasn't out too bad but again, just enough for me to be worried and not too broken that its hard to fix. Got home and mel was working with Morgan on a sword and I made dinner. Though we weren't smart enough to get meat out to have left overs...oops. Then it was just relax time until scribble which was light in attendance but not in the work that got done. [livejournal.com profile] zippydclown stopped by to learn how to write his name and to kibitz a bit. I also got ari settled in for some design research and she got a knighting scroll laid out with the help of [livejournal.com profile] lferion. Mel worked on his next nalbinding project (alpaca sox I think) and I got to teach Zhigmun how to callig his name. This was helpful to me since I've been avoiding calligraphy since I wasn't sure how my hands would do with it since hand sewing is now out for the forceable future (until podling arrives at least) but I handled things okay at least on the short haul. I think I'll be getting my back log of calligraphy done in the next few scribbles.

So it was a quiet but engaging night at scribble and we went a bit late but it was all good. Mel and I both slept well but I think we both needed another hour at least. Mel's getting maybe a cold...not really sure so we shall see how he does today and if he goes out to fighter practice. So, life not too bad I guess. And things are progressing and that is good. Time to get electronic paperwork moving for my 1pm meeting.
ianuk: (butterfly)
Well, I got home from work and got the dough on for the breadmachine to make and then I cleaned up the kitchen and picked up around the house. I needed to pick up a few toppings so I headed to the store. Mel texted me while I was there that he landed and that was awesome.

Got home and go the dough out to rest and browned up hamburger for one of the pizza's and I chopped veggies for the rest. I made a hamburger and mushroom and a pepperoni and red pepper. Mel's only complaint was that they needed more salt but that was easy to fix. He got home while I was putting toppings on and he settled in after unpacking. The girls were so happy to have him home they both flopped on him and got snuggles. He also got to feel the podling fluttering around my tummy and that was cool. I was on my feet from when I got home from work until the pizzas were done and it felt so good to sit and eat dinner with him.

Scribble folks started showing up and we had a good size group. Folks got to see how easily the IKEA table converts to expand. I will have to move the table back to its normal position for game night but it was a bit nice and cozy for folks at scribble.

[livejournal.com profile] elinor_dear came with [livejournal.com profile] ickaimp and that was awesome. I was not in the artistic mood. I know awful isn't it? I'll be getting back to things tonight I swear and so I chatted with folks and then ended up playing zombie dice with Icka and Erika and later Ari. What a fun game. Seriously easy to teach and then you can chat and play really easily too. It will definitely be making it into the basket for events.

Mel and Mingo took a look at the dishwasher and we also, like [livejournal.com profile] robo_markov we have plastic stuck in the machine. Though for us its in the bottom drain filter. Weird. I'm wondering it if pieces of the packs of detergent that are supposed to dissolve and didn't. I'll have to look at the pieces and see but that is my current theory. Mel said he'd tinker with it this week but its gonna be hand wash for a few days. I'm okay with that. The new sink and faucet make doing dishes really nice.

It was a good evening. Everyone had a good time, the pizza was a hit and I got to have mel home. The girls even snuggled with us which was also good. Though I think its finally getting cool enough for them to want to snuggle. It was 66 when I headed to work and I think a bit cooler at work. I had to grab my shawl I left in the car on Saturday for the walk into work.

I finally got the go ahead to our medical group here at work for me to get my flu shot. Though i had to go to medical versus the shot clinic in our cafeteria. Eh, It was a wonderful morning for a walk. Though I was held hostage for longer than normal due to being pregnant. Eh. All good and now vaccinated. My arm hurts though which is annoying. I tried not to tense up. Oh, well, I guess I'm more delicate. Lol.

So, good day. Depending on the weather I'll head out to practice this evening with mel. I hope to hang out and chat with folks. I will also be heading to LA fitness to check it out after work and see if I like the facility.
ianuk: (baroness)
Well, night 5 of sleeping like hell. I should just stay up..seriously. This is getting old. I've gotten such crappy sleep that I can tell its affecting me. I'm twitchy and my response time is pretty slow on somethings. Wow. Kinda scary that.

Course last night during scribble I was trying to remember a song I heard over on Pandora that I was suprised was done by Nirvana but when I finally found it today it was originally done by The Meat Puppets which makes sense now...I'd never heard the Nirvana version.

Lake of Fire )

I <3 that song. Dunno why but it was fitting for the conversation of Death Cow for Craven and all of the demons we kept finding in pictures. Very funny. Well, I did get my house more picked up with the thanks of Ari's awesome vacuum. They do make the "ball" version which is cool and I will probably be putting in an order on overstock here pretty quick. Just kinda a crazy night all in all. Nothing felt right and I was struggling with my calligraphy something fierce. Dunno, probably the insomnia talking. I think I need to hit the yarn shop and pick up another skein of yarn to finish the project currently on the hooks and just relax. Dunno. It will all depend on what time I get home. I didn't arrive home until just about 6pm last night and I'm not sure what is in store today. Lots of stuff.

We shall see though. I need to start training hard on the bike and that will mean early rides on Saturday and Sunday before the event. I'm okay with that since we have san diego next week and no bike time.
ianuk: (lazycat)

With the girls. Irish coffee...thank you [livejournal.com profile] robomarkov! Needed this muchly.

ianuk: (caw!)
Well, I survived monday...even in a smaller brain capacity state. Course people should learn that when I make weird observations, like this machine doesn't sound like it used too, they should listen. The thing I was hearing was an air leak and we found it hours after my first observation...yup, that would screw the transducers up. anyhoo...got home and was so tired I almost took a nap but realized that 1) I didn't drink water all day and 2)I didn't take my vitamins either. Took care of that and got the house mostly settled for scribble. Mel made a nummy soup but it was all veggies and I needed a bit more substance. I had a small bit of banana and yogurt and felt much better. Had a grand time showing off pictures and then we all buckled down and got things done for scribble. Folks were having a good time and we got to see some old friends like [livejournal.com profile] genkadin which was AWESOME!!!

BTW, [livejournal.com profile] dqbunny you left your phone at my house. We can bring it to the park or something or drop it off with Icka and Ysabet too.

I'm really enjoying watching the Olympics now that we have an HD tv. So awesome to watch plus the competition has been very fierce in most events. Well, time to get things ready for work, I need to call the doc to confirm what time my appointment is today and then make my schedule work. Later!

ianuk: (batman)
Well, work was odd. I got lots of little things handled and felt that I was forgetting something all day long. I checked everything and didn't find a thing..though I did find one task that had slid but that was cause my responder was gone for a week. Then the phone started ringing about various issues and then a supplier kept trying to get a hold of me while I was in meetings. I was tired when I got home. I picked up the house (after mel had done the dishes) and got things settled for scribble. I headed out for a quick trip to the grocer and got some essentials (yogurt and pb). Got home and made dinner. Zippy was over working on re-strapping his arms. I got dinner done, ate and worked on a few things before ari arrived with Ed's ducal scroll. Unfortunately, Meg had the color scheme so a group of us waited until she arrived to start painting. All in all I think this will go quick but some of it is fiddley. Eh. I painted all night, handled a very annoying miscommunication and had people leave sometime after 10 pm. I was embroidering when mel said he was headed to bed as [livejournal.com profile] lferion left. I was like "okay" and then looked at the clock. I didnt' realize it was that late. ooops. I showered, read for while and had weird dreams.

This AM I made good coffee, filled up the airpot and are subjecting my coirkers to wonderful brew from [livejournal.com profile] sirtighearnain. Nummy. Makes for a much better morning...though I was late cause of phone calls to finish out the miscommunication issues of last night. Grrr...its all taken care of but man its annoying. I've learned I need to be explicit with things that should be logical and the issue is a bit of a sore spot anyway. So, I've got a game plan and hopefully today goes by quickly so I can get home, spray weeds, relax and go to kung fu.
