So, I know when I'm too tired to drive because I can't operate my stickshift at all well....so I wonder..is the increase in drunk/tired drivers from people driving easy automatics versus a manual transmission? I wonder....

Course if we had cool things like the "scootermen" in London...maybe we wouldn't have so many issues.

I do believe Mark and I had a similar discussion about standard vs automatic drive cars on the way home. I'm seriously wondering if I will even be able to find or order another standard when it is time to replace my car. I like my standard drive.

Good luck Ari! Our Fit only had about 3 manuals made in all of Tucson! We are so mad that we got an automatic, but what could we do? Stupid automatics...

One of the cool things about manual transmissions these days is that very few car thieves can actually drive them. What got us on the topic was a report on a woman who got car jacked and the thieves gave up and hoofed it from the scene because they couldn't drive the car.

Hmm, I'd never really thought about it, but that's probably one of the reasons I *don't* let myself keep driving tired, because my festiva-of-splendoor is a stick-shift. Got be alert enough to park before I can nap.
