The Weekend....and monday...

Friday was busy and the rehearsal was hot but we managed to get through, have a good time and get things worked out. Then it was home for a quick change of cars and off to the rehearsal dinner. I completely and utterly recommend Vera Amore on Swan and Camp Lowell next to Bashas. Seriously good food and the pizza was almost like what I had in italy. We got home with Jessie (the best man) who was staying the night and the evening was filled with getting things ready for the wedding, kabitzing with [livejournal.com profile] zippydclown and making sure the groom got to try the beer. Got to bed about 1130pm and slept okay.

I got up at 7am and did an 11 mile ride. I was tired from the week and got behind two people who were chit chatting and not moving over for a mile or so. I passed them and picked up speed but they slowed me way down on my average...only 14.4mph. Got home, showered and barely made it to the nail place for our manicure/pedicure's for the wedding on time. Got done there with cute toes and hands and headed off to get my rings and my diamond earrings cleaned. Stopped off at Marshall's and they have a new jewelery artist that is doing Viking wire weave in gold. Very pretty. Got home and then went out to lunch with mel and Jessie and then it was time for me to pack up the car and head out to my hair appointment. Annmarie was fantastic at Presidio Hair and Nails and I think I found me a new stylist. She had straightened my hair out and flat ironed it and had asked very, very nicely if she could trim off just a half in to even out the hair. I said yes and she was surprised and then I told her most stylists want to cut 3-4 inches off my hair for "damage" and it drove me nuts. So yeah, very nice cut and then she did this very pretty up do. I got some snacks on the way over to the stillwell house and was only 15 mins early. Course most everyone was 30mins late. Sighs. But it gave me time to relax, get my makeup on and then get into my dress with the help of Drew's aunt Ingrid. The rest of the evening kinda flew by. The photogs were great and lots of fun to pose for, the ceremony was short and sweet and Drew used his Iphone for his vows. We had fun using his phone during the reception and then there was cake and a bit of dancing. Chrissy (maid of honor) and I worked on getting the bridal suite cleaned up and the presents put where they needed to go and then it was time to pack the bride and groom into their car and send them off. Got home about 1145 and my dogs were tired. I love those shoes but they are deceptive. They don't hurt until I take them off. We got to bed after showers and then I slept fitfully.

Sunday dawned early and it was very hard for us to get up at 8am. We managed, barely, and got coffee and were very, very grateful when Richard called asking us what burritos we wanted for breakfast. Had breakfast, got packed up, headed to subway for sammys for the event and then drove to Raze a Village. Having never travelled south of Pima Mine Road I didn't realize the a)all of the signs are in km which means our trip wasn't as far as I feared and b)wow, what a pretty area! Got to site about 30mins past when we wanted but things were being finished setting up and we got court going just as most folks arrived. We had court, gave out awards, awwwed at little cora and it was good. The SC meeting was nice, I shot some archery and scored 5 points on the hardest shoot. After that, I sat and worked on some weaving, put in a vote at the A&S display and had a good time watching the fighting. We had court again and then it was pack up and go home. I went to get the car and both large baronial's were down and they were working on getting the flying pig down. We left after every tent was down and folks were loading. Got gas at i-19 and then drove home the back way. Got home and pulled off a few layers and then sat on the couch until bed time. We were very lame.

Monday was just aggravating on so many levels. To much to do at work with many deadlines, stupidity happening on emails and so on and so forth. Plus the guy who ran the gate here and killed himself, I knew from my job. It just didn't end and then I stayed late cause of the work load and that I have appointments everyday this week during the last part of work. Can't seem to get my head above water and couldn't get to my center. Got home and flopped on the couch, turned the dvr on and finished watching a House episode I had started. I felt somewhat better but my appetite was nill and dinner didn't taste good. Got the house picked up and then started in on the uploading of photos. Scribble happened and I even got some painting done. Had good conversations that got my head space better and then we all realized just how late it was and still had a few more discussions with [livejournal.com profile] weavedancer. Got to bed at midnight and was in to work at 630am on the dot. Today I'm trying to do things differently to have a better day. We shall see.
