War was weird.....

The YAYS!:

1) bertana surprised us with a visit
2) My class went well and our demo was well attended.
3) I was a good deputy signet
4) Benton got to shoot real archery
5) awesome awards were given
6) Good times around the fire
7) Viking Games for the WIN!
8) Got to hang with ya_inga and Mistress Mai, so awesome.

The WTF???
1) squire broke his arm in the first battle friday and kept fighting (it didn't hurt until it stopped working right)
2) Weddings should never happen at war and that affected our camp in dumb and crappy ways.
3) Squire's wife was not there to help with kitchen things and be my backup brain.
4) It was way too hot....grumble
5) things just felt rushed and odd.
6) I did not come back as inspired as I usually do but well stardust doesn't have to always happen.

I'm sorry the magic didn't happen for you, but oddly enough, I heard from someone else (one of the folks Bertana traveled out from Pennsylvania with, oddly enough) that you'd helped it happen for him, so that's at least a partial win?

Why is it your opinion that wars and weddings don't mix? I authorized one to happen at Highlands the year I was event coordinator there, and it seemed to come off without difficulty for the war.

Well, I'm glad. I was desperately trying to be a good peer for everyone even though I was not having the time I wanted.

Weddings going on at war when things are already busy which disrupt operations of things are never a good thing and when that had to happen twice and your wedding guests create chaos in my camp, well, I get annoyed, no scratch that I get pissed off.
