Weekend..really, that was a weekend?
Friday was an "all about me day" which was nice and relaxing and good. I got a pedicure, hair cut and color and just enjoyed my day. Game night was fun, though we didn't get much accomplished after having 6 weeks off.

american_knight to drive to Northern Yule on Saturday. This involved leaving at 6am but it all worked out great. Took us 5 hours each way with very little traffic either way. The Yule was nice, the food was great! Brian the Pious and cohorts were a lot of fun to hang around. Also got to hang with Lady Natalia and hug and play with little Allora. Good times. We headed out at 6pm and were in my drive at 11pm which was good. Got to listen to Dane Cook and that was funny. I was tired but a bit wired from driving all day but I managed to settle down and sleep.
I awoke with my sinues not happy. All of the elevation change of Saturday was playing havoc on my ears and nose were a bit much. Mel commented that I really should go back to bed but after a shower I was a bit better. Applied drugs but my energy was very low. Had a great breakfast withpublic_shaylan who had hopped down for the day to see us and a few others. Her and I ended up heading out to the regatta for a bit. It was well attended and a looked like everyone was having a good time. The Brandi Felton park is awesome cause it has horse facilities and there were 6 horses attending. We left at just about the end of the horse tourney and it was awesome to see. Francesca got a new horse named Heidi who is an icelandic. m'lady Aeryn commented that the breed must have been bred with Teddy bears sometime back. She was cute and fluffy.
We headed off when I realized I had about 40 mins of energy left before my body wanted sleep so we jetted to Trader Joes for some coffee and then home. I ensconced myself on the couch and was out for over an hour. Then I had to motivate to work on crochet. I'm behind on projects and had a hat to finish and more work to do on mom's prezzy since mel got more spun up for me. Shanda left about 4pm after a snack on some homemade ice cream. I lounged and crocheted and we all got sucked into watching shows on xmas light displays and ice sculptors. Seriously, ice sculpting is very zen.
Mel lit a fire in the hearth and I enjoyed working in front of the warmth. All good. Went to bed later than I intended due to being sucked into SyFy's Alice. Very cool so far, I'll have to DVR the other episode tonight.
Had a very strange dream involving trains and crashes and folks from up north..very odd. I blame the ice cream. Anyhoo...work is pressing in..can't quite believe 9 days left in the year but man its true.
My sinuses are still protesting...I'm trying out a different drug cocktail today. We shall see how it goes. I almost brought my cold mask to work so I could freeze my head but forgot. Doh!
