Teh Library...

Well, I've been thinking about this for a while and [livejournal.com profile] swordmage pointed me to some software called Readerware to help us catalog all of the books. The nice thing is that it can scan things with a barcode reader...which is cool. Course we have lots of books that don't have them but the majority do. Has anyone out there used this? I vaguely remember a few years ago [livejournal.com profile] ecogryff had something similar...anybody?

dad has been using a bar code reading software to catalog all of his books, dvds, and cds.
I will have to ask him what it is called. I know I need to borrow it from him to get all mine done.

My friend has that program. She loves it.

My blood bro was doing something like this... I should ask.

yup, i have Readerware. love it. i've catalogued all my books, all my DVDs, and all my CDs (it comes with the audio and video versions when you buy the program CD). even if a book doesn't have a bar code, you can just type the ISBN into the same search area. okay, i have a few books that don't even have an ISBN, but they're really in the minority. i never would have gotten my library catalogued, if i didn't have the barcode reader.

I *think* there are a few free barcode makers out there.
