Here we are at Saturday...
I didn't blog yesterday and didn't really get online at all either. Thursday was so busy at work with meetings that I forgot that it was on off friday the next day...took me almost an hour to remember that I wasn't coming in the next day and I got things ready for monday. Got home and was a lump...I should have been doing more...got a crappy dinner of a luna bar and then we motivated ourselves off to Victory Hall.
Had a good night..a few things finally clicked...slow work is still my bane. Got home and we snuggled up on the couch relaxing and then finally to bed very late. The saving grace was that we got to sleep in. We got up, had breakfast at joe's..where they are still thanking us for the pie and then we headed out to our eye doctor appointment and toy shopping. We got all of our Toys 4 tots toys and our Angel tree toys (mel got to buy a volcano kit!). And we got legos cause it was buy 1 set get another set 50% off. We even assured a mom with adult kids that its perfectly normal that adults play with legos. We also got all of our friend kids prezzies sans one taken care of as well. Then it was home and mel headed off to grandma's spinning wheel for spinning day and I got groceries and cleaned up the house, setup the small tree and wrapped more gifts. Then when mel got home (from shopping since it was a knitting day at Grandma's) he was awesome and did the rest of the dishes and I headed out to a craft fair. I got a few more stocking stuffer type things and some baked goods. My neighbor misty is a "dip lady" she sells the mixes to make snack dips. They are really, really good. Got some of them and also got a few things from Ted (from work) and his wife tammy. Got home and I was late...mel was awesome and was already chopping meat for me. I got out the cuisanart and chopped onions and mushrooms and made a really awesome batch of stroganoff.
Game night wasn't very productive cause we were well into our cups (3 twelve packs will do that). Plus we hadn't gamed in a while and were squirrely. We got a plan at the end and will try again next week. I slept well, and got up and tried to make coffee...the stuff I bought sucked...eh. I have to draft out some banners and give ray a call and then tonight is mon's yule. Lots to do.
