Well things are okay.

ianukSo friday I was nervous and played a lot of star dew after I got up. I was freezing due to drinking the fridge cold 2 liters of prep. The previous day was room temp which was not cold. I was freezing. I snuggled up under couch blankets and drank some coffee. I was nervous when we got to the surgery center but they were very nice, very efficient. I guess they do about 50 endoscopies/colonoscopies a day. But everyone was awesome. They told me the hard part was the prep and honestly they were right. I will be much less trepedatious in 10 years at the next one. I was told I did my prep perfectly and there were no issues at all. I did swing out of anesthesia quickly and really could have driven myself home without issue. We went and got me a hamburger and a soda, picked up Benton from School and then hit Bookmans for shopping and the unicef store. got a few things for Mel and Benton behind their backs. Lol.
Got home and vegged while mel made dinner. I was pretty beat and went to bed earlyish. I slept okay and was awake pretty early. Mel was surprised. I had slept quite a while and was hungry and wanted coffee. I played star dew. Then managed to get moving and motivated before we headed out to the street fair with Ari. We had a nice time, got a few things including a new painting that we will take up to the northern house next summer. Its got cardinals and pines and yeah its perfect. We may also get one of the larger paintings at the spring fair to also take to the Northern House. We met up with Dave (Ari's bro) and had a nice time before we were all tired and peopled out. Got home and Mel crashed for two hours. I played star dew and Benton was playing switch. Teh cats were super snuggly since we had been gone a long while.
Mel was in bed early and I stayed up a bit. With me having to be off my meds for my procedure I have elected to step down my crazy pills. So now I'm at 5mg per day and after a few weeks of this I will skip to every other day etcs until I'm off. Thus far my sleep has been weird but okay. I've been up a lot earlier so that is also okay. I've had mild headaches but that could be the procedure, the time of year, and/or my Sunday blood donation.
I managed to not play video games but get some laundry on, give blood, hit joanns and then hit the yearly baronial calendar meeting. I have not been to one in years and honestly they don't change. This B&B's style is not as organized as I like for meetings but I had Ruby and my thoughts to keep me occupied. I did offer to autocrat the May 2026 coronation and get that bid in. Magdalen and I have had a "hotelcon" thought for it and I have time to peruse sites and see. There was a lot of grumbling about the park we have FP at and how "they never tell us things are changing" when I pointed out if you subscribed to the city newsletter you get asked opinions on all of the options for that park and what decisions are made. None of this was in a vacuum. You just chose to not be informed. The lack of information on the barony on anything other than facebook was glossed over even though I squawked about it. Sighs. When I mentioned that I didn't even know we did a newsletter any more but I read the Barony of Atenveldt and Sundragons newsletters monthly that got some looks. It isn't hard to cross post people. Sighs.
Anyhoo. After that I was tired but still went to costco and got a few more xmas gifts and food we needed. I was very unhappy with the beer selection and will have to get some at the grocer today and hit petco. By this point I was a bit shaky. I had apple juice and oreos at the blood donation and no lunch. oops. But got home and vegg'd while mel made dinner. I do cook occasionally and I plan to this week even. Actually I plan to make sushi casserole tonight so its ready for dinner tomorrow. My plan is to wrap like the wind on presents that I have curated and organized in my studio. Yes I'm behind. sighs. This also includes getting the packages (birthday and xmas) for Leah out as well. Cause I'm a dumbass.
This is my last working Monday and the last school Monday of 2025. I have two days in the office and then done. We are going to the botanical gardens on Wednesday night with a few of us and Wander. I've done the Zoolights but never the Gardens. It should be fun and nice way to kick off our vacation (well for mel and I). Benton still has school through Friday.
I have a crown on Thursday AM and get the windshield replaced on the Honda. Got a nasty chip that immediately cracked the windshield and that crack has grown a lot in two days. Friday I hope to cut out my dresses and start sewing.
So yeah. Nice and weird weekend. Can't wait for Wednesday at 430pm.
