Date Night Re-cap....
Dec. 2nd, 2004 07:06 amSo, after work we headed to Home Despot to pick up the much needed bookcase. The problem is that they don't sell the one we used to get but this one looks even nicer and has METAL pegs for the shelves (mel has screwed in all of our shelves because they keep breaking). So, we get home and mel puts it together, the cats are running around crazy and I look through the sale adds.
We then head to the mall to have dinner at the Bamboo club. Good food, odd atmosphere, pretty annoying beer selection...we'll probably go back to try more things but might have to start out with appetizers/beer at metro and then dinner at bamboo. So, after dinner (best curry ever, nummy lunch today) we headed to Borders where mel picked up a key to uber-geekness as a D&D GM. The have a signed, numbered, leather bound edition of the players handbook that was the floor model (normal $75) for $30 which is the standard price for the normal players (3.5 edition). He picked up that and Demolition Man and Blade Runner for cheap (2 for $12). I picked up my 3.5 book and then we headed to Macy's. Not much on sale that we wanted but they do have a really, really nice set of cast iron fry pans for $20. Might have to purchase that for the camp kitchen. Then we looked at an antique jewelry store (nice pretties...purrr) and headed off to Kaybee toys for our stuff for T4T.
They had harry potter and kim possible toys on sale so we picke up a few of each. I'm gonna have to hit Toys r Us this weekend to look for more. Plus, stocking stuffers are always fun. Came home, enjoyed a few drinks and headed to bed. Didn't want to get out of bed this morning...very snuggly warm and comfy. Grrr....but the bright side is we both have tomorrow off and we get to sleep in.
