So Saturday I was supposed to be showing the flashy hotness of bead making to [livejournal.com profile] karzboi but after checking my email (which I don't tend to do on weekends) I find that he is broken and needs to rest. So, I proceed in a bead making and reading frenzy for the afternoon. I had been a good dutiful wife and made breakfast (eggs, bacon and toast) and mel was cheerfully working on Duke Aaron's armor most of the day...though he did traipse out to the workshop and work on looms while I took a much needed nap with butterfly. She had been bugging me all day to sit on the couch so she could snuggle (doesn't work to well when I'm sitting at my torch) so I oblidged to sit and read and ended up sliding over to nap while watching the Teen Titan's marathon. She purred and curled up next to me and was the happiest kitty you ever saw. Then mel and I headed to Sachiko for dinner, Trader Joes for some coffee (I was almost out) and then to bookman's for books. (you can't have to many of those.) Mel was able to pick up a 3.5 DMG for 10 bucks. Normally retails at 30 so all is good. Then I spent about an hour cleaning beads since I'd used up all of my mandrels and then re-dipped them all to be ready for Sunday. Didn't stay up too late but mel and I discussed the possibility of buying the house we're currently in. It would take some remodelling and switching around of stuff but it might work. We'll have to see.

Sunday dawned and mel got up before me. I snuggled in the warm blankets and read a bit before getting ready to go to the 4th Avenue Street Fair with the kung fu crewe. Went with them and had a good time. I bought some more pottery from a couple of vendors. Got a new paint water cup with a cute little spout, a french butter dish, a utensil bucket and another tall handless mug (i heart the glaze). And I also picked up this really, really cute tie-dye halter top for the summer. So, when I'm back in shape it will be very cute and its not really that immodest now. So good day plus I got to see Tarik AND Caredwyn from up in Northshield at his bead booth. All is good. I got back home at 3pm and mel headed to the hardware store for stuff since he had been working on looms and needed stuff. Then Richard came over and we chatted until Varr and Blossom arrived. Richard finished dyeing his leather for his armour (What a Maroon!) and Blossom got some research in on her A&S Entry while Var played string with Butterfly. Then [livejournal.com profile] torgolomue and [livejournal.com profile] atensibilla came over for dinner and to help with the loom projects. I made beads and it was a fun evening. Unfortunately the dragon show on animal planet was really dissapointing. Oh, well. So, here we are at Monday and I've got lots to do..Ack...Must start on the email pile. Luckily I've got coffee and a really good to do list!
