So, looks like I will have help from a few folks this weekend. [livejournal.com profile] scribe_ari is stopping by on friday to get the buttons for the coat, get the matte for the scroll and maybe help with a bit more scribble. Saturday I'm thinking if those who are not helping with the vigil cooking could be by about 10 AM (I'll have coffee and donuts)we can start on the purge, clean, dust, reshelve aspect of things. I seriously want [livejournal.com profile] weavedancer and [livejournal.com profile] snotblossom to look at the craft room and help me get it more "usable"...its cramped and the purging of fabric and closet re-arranging will help (I hope). There will be some bookcase/cd foo happening and I hope to have pork chops in the crock pot for a dinner in the later afternoon.

On the dress front, I completed the embroidery on the bottom trim and now just need to do the beading (4 pearls per medallion) and do the cuff trim which is 4 peals/1 garnet clusters. I'm gonna also emborider the hem on the cuff trim and will hopefully get that all done tonight so I can start on the hem, collar, cuffs of the dress. I won't be getting Ivan's scroll back until Thursday but meg's got the calligraphy done and had paint on her first miniature that was looking great. My goal is to finish up all of my stuff on the scroll friday and later on sunday so I can hand it back to her on Monday for her to finish the other miniatures. It should be okay. (crossing fingers).

So, things left for the ceremony: 1) mel to finish his caftan, 2) me to finish my dress, 3) ceremony...need to call magdalen 4)[livejournal.com profile] marianavivia please contact mel, he wants to chat with you 5) embroider laurel wreaths on mel's hat and 6) back the banner. I so wish I didn't have to work.

You happen by a book sale at work and see Encyclopedia of Knitting and you buy it for the 5 pages on the History of Knitting including pictures form the V/A in England.

Such a geek...I don't even want to know how to knit! Luckily it was on $12 and I'm sure someone will need it at some point.
