Monday, the restorative

scribe_ari and her side kid Linnet for an adventure in Brocade Recon. We planned on heading to Fabrics That Go and Home Decorator Fabrics on our jaunt. But the first place proved the jackpot. Luckily I had just gotten a rebate from Denver Fabrics on some silk so the $24 per yard wasn't too bad for this wonderous black and gold. Ari also dug out a beautiful veil material that is white that has 1"x1" squares of gold on it...very cool. I also got a blue and yellow cross wove veil that is awesome as well. So, now I just wait for the silk to get here from Denver (it shipped yesterday) and I can get with Alexandra to go over patterns etc. I think I will want to make copies of the patterns for her specifically...must do that wednesday. Yeah!
After we hit the fabric store it was off to find food. We headed to Beyond Bread which was quite tasty. I had the sammich thatkarzboi had at the calendar meeting that almost made me yack cause of the tummy bug. It was really, really good. Roast beef, provolone, green chillis and russian dressing. Nummy! Then we travelled back to our house and got ready for a small scribble.
It was just meg,marianavivia, ari and I for a while and then genkadin arrived with new persian coat in tow. We had a good time coming up with awesome scroll text, giggle fits etc. My methlegin scrolls are coming out fine. I should be able to get through at least 2 of them this weekend and get the text completed as well. I have to practice the hands for the other one and for Steffan's but I do have the text written and I know what I want to do, just need to cut the paper and practice on tracing paper for a while.
Hopefully today can be productive at work. It needs to be...I have way too much stuff due....
