Well, after a successful game last night (mel forced a seating arrangement that worked to our advantage), I went to bed about 1am or so after reading. I awoke at 7:30 with the "bright eyed, need to get up" feeling. The cats were whining so I got up and had cake and coffee and watched tv and read. Chatted with Ari on the phone about 9:30 and got mel out of bed about 10am. Then we headed out on the shopping for my b-day present. We had decided stereo but hadn't picked anything out. After seeing pitiful results at Bestbuy...Circuit City showed a nice selection and well they let up play with everything including putting in a CD. After much hemming and hawwing and wowwing we both agreed that even though it was expensive, the Onkyo was the way to go. It had the best sound, didn't have a cassette deck and was slimline. Wow. I haven't had Onkyo stuff since my dad left. So nice. Plus I think I can hook up a turntable to it as well...

We got some CD's and ran into Ed's gamer friends at Bestbuy. Very cool to see Dave again. We teased Vic about coming out and we just need to send the guard to get him for baronial. The we headed to lunch with mina and

zippydclown. Beyond bread was nummy, the meetings were good and then shopping for books. I've got the player running now and it was easy hookup. If my tv wasn't craptastic right now with only RCA hookups we could use it for 5.1 sound...heck, we can probably use it later for it when we get a good tv. Should be good.

Made reservations for Olive Tree and looking forward to good night with the hubby.
