Relaxing Wednesday.
May. 4th, 2006 06:47 amWork progressed well. I got things managed on many levels which was good. Looks like I have some emergency paperwork to do today though which shall be fun. After work it was a sleepy drive home and then I flopped on the couch while mel relaxed. I ended up sleeping for about 45mins and was woken up when Richard came over to do some wood work. Mel had already loaded the bikes into the truck so we drove out to Broadway Bikes and got them in for service. I also looked at some of the street bikes and they are shiny. We also chatted with the service guy about martial arts. Guess they have had a few instances where a little know how in the restraining dept would have come in handy. I had luckily put the card for the dojo in my wallet and handed it over.
After that we drove to Claim Jumper for dinner. The wait staff was very helpful helping me make up my mind of what I wanted. I ended up having their Gold Rush Chicken and am sorely tempted to heat them up for breakfast versus lunch..so hungry...but I will have my oatmeal and coffee and wait until 11:30 for the numminess and subsequent food coma. After that it was a quick trip to homedespot for weatherstripping to pad my coronet. yeah, that is what
marianavivia suggested we get and I installed it and its perfect. Thank goodness mel added a spacer...much more comfy. I sat and watched "House" while mel played Starcraft. Medric and Phelan came over to pick up a few cases of bottles (yeah, I might actually be able to get to my freezer on friday!) Had a good chat with them and then mel and I settled into watching some tv and snuggling on the couch. We ended up watching about half of "Commando" which I had never seen. My fav line "I read the instructions..." Bedtime followed rather quickly and I awoke this morning with mel snuggled around me and obsidian taking up most of my second pillow. Such luv.
I need to run a few errands after work and hopefully I can get my second over dress finished sewing. Then it will be kung fu and bed. I'm hoping to make the demo tomorrow but only in pretty dress and calligraphy stuff..though the wind is gonna be fierce...I will need to bring books and things to show and my embroidery. After that it will be home for dinner and packing. We're gonna leave early on Saturday to get to IKEA for breakfast and then a bit of shopping before heading to site for the event. Should be lots of fun.
Oh, in other stuff I need to figure out what to get the mom's for mother's day...my ideas have either been too GEEKY or too practical...
