Tuesday...hmmmm
May. 31st, 2006 06:53 amWork was annoying. I had to explain a really simple principal to folks that was done over 30 years ago. I'm putting it here for posterity:
True Position is the theoretically exact location defined by basic dimensions shown on a drawing.
A Position Tolerance is used to specify the location accuracy for a feature.
These terms are NOT interchangeable and have been set since at least the 1982 ANSI Standard for GD&T.
That was annoying. Come on people...live in 2006 not 1956. Grrrr...
I took care of that issue and its related annoyances. When you have two suppliers who build a part differently, making sure the tolerances are easy to attain and still get good parts can be difficult. Got home and was tired. Really tired but I got on my bike and raced the hubby around the block. Well, I think I pulled my fastest time. Got home and had left overs and then, instead of hitting things on my To Do list I read. I'm currently in the middle of the In Death series by JD Robb and I had to finish the book, well almost. I did manage to get the last piece of embroidery traced out and then loaded on to the frame loom for had work. I luv my craft room. Mel spent his time re-organizing his tools in the shop. We gave him a clean place and now he's working on making it better.
FP was okay. I had a headache to start (sinuses) but got to chat with HE Charles and many of our folks who just put in letters for autocrats for Southern. I didn't get much embroidery done but hey, its the price of doing business. I should be back out fighting next week. It will be over a week of use on the asthma drugs and that should be good. Got home and I stumbled into shower and bed. I finished the book and fell right asleep. Mel was roaming the house wired up on adrenaline but he finally settled in for shower and bed sometime after I fell asleep.
Today will be a chink in the routine. I have a hair cut at 5pm which means I don not really have time for my ride so I'm gonna just do weights when I get home. I need to go grocery shopping too and make a cheese cake (or maybe buy one) for a b-day tomorrow of onen of my coworkers. Course I might just succumb and make brownies instead. It would be easier. But we still need some groceries since we are plumb out of fruit. So tired though. I'm not sure what I might be able to accomplish but I'm gonna try.
