check the new Icon luv
Feb. 7th, 2007 07:00 amSo, to start off, I luv NPR for their B-day announcements cause to day is Eddie Izzard's B-day!!!! He's 45. Had the "h" moment again while doing the second BTY banner. Yeah for Eddie!
Work was good, got lots of things done and then got home. I relaxed for about 30 mins and then got in on the gutta. Unfortunately, I really need more paint cause a boar and a 1/2 are using irridescnet grey versus black. But at 9' up, no one will notice. Mark and Karen got back pretty early (430ish) and got me beads. Yup, I now have a good selection of roman glass beads from about 400ad and a really neat eye bead from North africa about the same time. Yeah for gifties and karen found the paint your own matroyska dolls so now I have a set. Need to pay them today before they leave for a few of the goodies. Mel made dinner while I applied gutta. He went to practice after dinner and Mark and karen headed to bookmans. I got the gutta on and then sat down to work on the commision. I'm rather happy about it. Is really nice. Just have to have mel show me how to make the hooks and I can finish it (probably 15mins of work). I also got sucked into Doctor Who...which doesn't surprise me. Course if I was the little again this set of episodes would have freaked me way out. Glad I'm an adult. Started on the painting here and there on the banner, I just need to do the blue and finish the shading on the boars and it will be done. I was just glad to have a quiet evening at home. More of that tonight which is good.
