ianuk: (don't wanna)
So after really almost 5 days off it was kinda hard to get out of bed this morning. But I did and it was COLD!!! BRRRRR...I was cold enough that I made sure to bring hot coffee to work with me. Ugh. Had a blast yesterday. My ride went really well and then I lounged around the house watching Toolbelt Diva. I got motivated after breakfast and coffee and got out to run errands. I even made it to Joann's and picked up stuff for a new middle eastern...it will be pretty. Ran into a few people I knew who are working there now. Course I was "Mel's wife" to one of them which was funny. So odd sometimes when the dojo world meets real life. Got home with the errands and read a lot of S*P. Mel and drew and chris had fun with kung fu and richard came over to work on the coolers and his archery project. The girls were being funny and all was good. Got out to dinner with mel and medb was able to drop by. Yoshimatsu was really good and it was fun. No bento stuff in the shop but all good. We then walked over to Plaza Liquors and made out like bandits. I got us more Jewel of Russia and my fav porter St. Bridget's. Mel got us lots of specialty along with an India Pale Ale for Sierra Nevada. Yeah. We even got some oak aged Old Yeti. But we are saving that for friday night to share with richard. Got home and we drank warmed mead and read comics.

Today brings FP and a day off from biking. My legs hurt and well, I need a break...course I also need to make sure I drink water since I haven't been too good about that over the last few days and I'm feeling the effects.

Its come to my attention, quite annoyingly that folks around here just don't know very many vocab words, for example in the past week I have had to give the pronunciations and definitions for the following:

sans

charlatan

convocation

reconnoiter

I don't think any of them are at all odd, like say obfuscate, but people had no idea what I was talking about. Weird. Yup, must be hitting below that 50% line again.
