ianuk: (caw!)
Well, first day back in the cubical after 2 weeks of vacation and I remembered my password and everything. Which is good. Have a lot of emails I'm still going through and I need to head to the cafeteria to get breakfast since I forgot to pack any...at least I remembered my lunch and a snack. Course the fridge we use had been defrosted and unplugged and it took my coworker and I a bit of time to find out where our other coworker would have plugged it in. Sighs...the life of engineers...where to plug in something. My task list is ever growing at work and I know my home one is getting worse too.

Ah well. That is life when things conspire to give you too much work and not enough time.

Shines she like the sun,
Blooms bid her due,
Sand and sun both blanch.
Ianuk aides all through strength,
Stands she also champion of Art.
For this flower glows two-fold,
She strikes with thorough thorn
And blinds by beauty rare.

The Raven wings the sky-sea,
Aloft, above, anointing the clouds,
Seeking sire, seeking partner, seeking friend.
Saw she sure-footed Ivan, and he her.
Workers of wonder, Creators of craft
Shore and sky, earth and air
Where one ends and one begins
It is not easy to say.

Alights she in Atenveldt
Sons of the Sun
Daughters of the Desert
Flowers of Chivalry all!
New hands and old lands,
Offer honor and praise.
The Sun and the Raven;
Bright and dark are whole.

Bides she now in Barony Tir Ysgithr,
The Raven Lady, leader of Boars.
Righteous to rid her lands of evil,
Ready to right the wrongs of ill,
Stands she powerfully by Petrovich,
Example to all of quiet grace.
For, as Ivan intoned in my poet’s ear:
Ianuk! Warrior and most beautiful Wife!
