Well, work was good, made lots of progress on many things and I was able to get a few things into review that were uber important to get out and released. All good. Got home after a trip to get gas and sewing thread. I went to hancock so I wouldn't have to fight nasty traffic and they had the exact color I needed. Got home to a groggy and sleepy husband who was talking to the apprentice. Mel never really woke up much for the rest of the night. Even with trip to [livejournal.com profile] weavedancer and [livejournal.com profile] dverning he was barely mobile. I worked steadily on the wooby. I got the front trim all sewn on and started getting the one side of the bottom trim pinned, bottom sewn and the appliqués put on. I got 2 out of the 3 for that side applied and should be able to finish that and get the other side to about the same position tonight. Yes, I'm gonna skip martial arts so I don't stress out. I'm sure that won't make sifu paul happy but its war season. That takes precedence. Mel got home about 9pm and then was in the shower. Richard left and I sat watching Ghost Hunters. Mel came out in his girly turtle jammies and watched the last half with me while having a beer. At 10pm I shut things down, hung the coat back on the dress form and went to bed. Slept good and even got to work just on time. Go me!

Today will be lots of paperwork and meetings. I have a late meeting so I won't be home until late so I have lots of time to work on things. Hopefully today will be another successful day since tomorrow is "Off Friday" I have an update to the to do list to do. Well, that is another post.

So here’s the recipe (good amount for about 4 chicken breasts, but of course you can use whatever cuts of meat you want):

1 cup dry bread crumbs (I use panko)
1/2 t. salt
3/4 t. paprika
1/2 t. celery salt
1/2 t. onion salt
1/8 t. pepper
1/8 c. vegetable oil

Feel free to experiment with your own favorite spices as well (I’ve added parsley on occasion, but hey, go crazy).

Mix it all together in a bowl, throw your wet chicken in a ziploc bag, toss in the above mixture, coat well (I do one chicken piece at a time), and then bake at 350 F (175 C) for about an hour on a greased baking sheet (I always find it easier to clean the sheet later if I put aluminum foil down first, grease it, then put the chicken on top of that). Don’t turn it while cooking.

Cook the following together in a large fry pan:
5 pounds of meat ground your choice mine are usually beef and chorizo
Chopped garlic (4-5 big spoonfuls)
Powdered cinnamon (Dust till the surface of meat and stuff is coated)
Fresh ground pepper (4-5 Good cranks on the grinder)
Kosher Salt (Tablespoon)
New Mexico Chile Powder (in the ethnic aisle in the cellophane bags) A tablespoon or dust the surface of the meat too.
1-2 large red onions
2-3 Large Green, red or yellow peppers

Add that to a large stew pot that has:
3 cans red kidney beans
3 cans pinto beans
3 cans black beans
1 12 to 20 oz dark beer
1-2 large can crushed tomatoes
Salt and pepper to taste
More Chili powder..to taste

Cook until its the consistency you like, I usually let it simmer partially covered for an hour or so.
