That was much better...
Jun. 5th, 2008 06:41 amI was able to leave work on time for the first time in a few weeks. I then drove to the dealership to get the oil changed in cleo. I then went to joann's to pick up supplies for my classes and then home. Mel was defrosting chix for dinner but didn't have a plan for it. He was so worn out from Tuesday night he was curled up on the floor or the couch with the cats watching tv. I grilled up the chx on the foreman since it was too windy to use the outdoor grill. We had chix sammiches and saurkraut. Then I got things rolling, put my headphones on and rocked out some sewing. I got I'm 50% done on the top and bottom trim. I have to roll an edge to and put on straps but if I buckle down when I get home I should be able to get it done tonight. So, maybe I can get the other dress done tomorrow. We shall see.
I felt very accomplished. Mel went to bed early and I stayed up watching some of POTC:WE before I finally wasn't seeing straight enough to sew. I slept great minus the fact that I woke up with my bum hanging over the edge since obsidian was trying to snuggle with me and kept pushing at me. The girls are only hissing every now and then and they are in bed with us so that is good.
Today work seems pretty okay. Lots of small tasks that I can work on and a bit of other things. Hopefully the day passes quickly. I'm tired and would love to be home working on things.
