Monday...very busy..
Jul. 8th, 2008 06:45 amWork was good...though I could have been at my desk more...lets not even talk about the 5 meetings that I have on wednesday and the 3 today. Sighs...might have to work late today to just get ahead. Anyhoo...my day ended with me attending a change board for our data management database. I had a stoopid user issue that I wrote a change about and they are going to implement it! Woot! I have other things now that I want to fix on that DB....yeah more work. The meeting ended just after 3pm so I just went home since it was at another plant site and I was half way home anyway. I got on my bike and rode...though I didn't push as hard as sunday. I need to work on that. My speed was good but I think I slacked a bit. Eh. Wednesday's ride will come soon enough. Got home and mel had just gotten in. We chatted for a while while we both cooled down from our rides. His first day back to riding to work was really good. Got changed, watered and sat down to work on the yellow and blue tunic. I got 80% done with it and only have the collar trim to finish. I then packed up 14th century kirtle stuff and my scribal supplies and headed to Ari's by way of Target. We needed some essentials.
Ari was most helpful and got my sleeves rocking. I'll recut the edges (they were too big thank goodness) and sew them on tonight. Which means I will have it almost done. Then it was to painting....which I finished up one scroll and then started up another...though my color choice was a bit rank for a bit until I started blending. Its gonna be bright. More scribal fu was planned with obnoxious colors and then I called it an early night. I was tired, my hands hurt and I wanted to check in on mel since he was very tired when I left. He was just getting out of the shower when I got home and was very happy that I had picked up chips to go with his homemade salsa. I got my shower and then we sat up and read for a while. Mel's sucked into World War Z and I got a bit further in A Charmed Death which I figured out is the second book in the series...course...why was it listed first in the "By the author" section of the book...gods I hate that. Anyhoo...slept well but of course could have used more.
Today will be tackling a qual plan and project schedule. Here's to hoping it works out. I want this stuff off of my desk.
