Tuesday was a busy day...
Jan. 21st, 2009 07:41 amWork was a lot of work...I really wish some people could learn to communicate complex concepts versus lauding over the rest of us that they know more than we do...it would make my life easier and I wouldn't be frustrated at the end of a very long meeting. Then I had a 4 hour meeting with a vendor and that went surprisingly well. We're almost to root cause on a failure, its isolated (which is a really good thing) and we've been working as a good team and we had a bit of fun as well and that does help with the working atmosphere. The email traffic for the day was interesting and supportive and disheartening all at the same time. Sighs.
I got home and I put on my bike gear and headed out. It was well after 5pm and it was cooling down from a nice warm day. I pushed hard and did my middle circuit which goes wilmot/broadway/kolb and home. Its 7.25 miles and I averaged 14.3mph. Not too shabby considering things. My lungs were giving me hell and the asthma was trying to take over with the building up of the phlegm...but I made it home and was on a good endorphin rush for a while.
I made a big bowl of salad and cooked up a couple of eggs to go with the salad, ate dinner, cleaned up the table and got the banner out and then the arm started protesting. I rested a bit and stretched it out and then got to painting. I was very muscle tired but I got all of the blue and the purple done and I think all I have left is a bit of blending and some line work and that banner will be done. I hope to leave work just a bit ahead of normal and I should be able to get that done before we have dinner out with
atensibilla and
sirtighearnan and then the officer's meeting.
