Sleep dep brought to you by asshats
Mar. 4th, 2009 07:25 amSo, to start...I really don't want to see 3 am for the 3rd night this week. Please, Loki, get a new victim thanks. Ivan and I had headed to bed late after chatting for a long while. It was good chatting and vodka was on hand too which was very nice. Fell asleep about 1130 or so. I woke up for no reason (that I knew of) at 3am to hear the weirdest noise. I woke mel up and he thought it was rain and I thought it was fire. A quick check out the blinds and the wash was on fire and very close to our fence. I called 911, mel doused the part on the other side of the wall and the fire trucks came lickety split. The fires were put out, a neighbor also came out to investigate all was well, we just got back in bed when 3 squad cars pulled up in the alley. Mel got back up and gave his statement. So, I don't think I fell asleep until after 430 or so. Sighs.
The night was good though. I did get a nap in versus a work out but I was in the so tired I couldn't speak so I knew that was better. I made a nummy dinner of spinach and steak (remember to rinse spinach, yuck). Then richard was over and we got sucked into TV. Well, the boys did, I managed to sew sleeves on the kirtle and get going on other things. I finished quite a few step on the to do list. I'm pretty sure I will be to just eyelets on my kirtle for handwork for the weekend. I'm okay with that. I will probably have to pick up more buttonhole thread while I'm at joanns today.
scribe_ari what is the name of the stuff you use for stencils? I'll need to have that for the turtle and anvil stencils.
Tonight I will get my work out in, then I will run errands and have folks over to show how to rinse banners and then I have a meeting with Aasni over a commission for a pitcher. All good. The silk has been steaming well and I have Jessica's left to steam and I found paper for it yesterday. All good. Just need to get that going right away when I get home and it will be done when folks come over.
