That was a weekend..can I have some more?
Apr. 5th, 2010 08:03 amI was feeling pretty off on Saturday after giving blood. Seems the older I get the slower I recover but I also had allergy ick going on so I can imagine what my body wanted me to do which was rest and relax. So, I did. Though I got some indigestion from something I ate Saturday and ended up leaving thyra's early and heading straight to bed. I was better on sunday but still slow. We had a nice breakfast at Joe's and then I worked on the blankie as I posted. I then got more of the studio organized and I eliminated 4 large bins and one short one and have drawers for yarn and fabric now except for the "working" fabric and the wool and brocades. I will probably rework some of the yarn again to make a drawer for my tools and needles but I think I can combine two drawers and do that. I have to go through the cube storage and the shelves behind the door and sort and purge but things are shaping up. I hope I can hit it hard on Tuesday when I get home and get things finished up. I will have some fabric and things out at Grail for people to paw through and take. I also have a sewing machine, condition unknown that needs a good home.
I started the second project for mina and roland (bibs) and worked on my hat in the evening. Had the crewes over working on things. Wander finished her box and Zippy's special project was being special. We all had a good dinner of smoked ham and I made stewed apples and steamed carrots to go with mel's nummy sourdough. Butterfly was being bad and kept trying to get at the ham. Damn cat.
Mel and I stayed up late watching Mr and Mrs Smith and it was a good thing we did. We got to bed rather late and just as we'd about fallen asleep our neighbor's truck alarm started going off, dogs were barking in the wash and about 2 mins later the police helicopter was searching hard around our neighborhood. We got up and investigated and Rachel was out talking with the police. She had heard voices and someone trying to get in her back doors and so she hit her truck alarm to get them spooked and then dialed 911. The cops found someone to question and we shall see what comes of it but I have to say their response was quick. Course now I really want my side lights on the house to 1)be in place and 2) be on motion sensors and 3) have one on the backside of the shop for a full light up of the backyard.
So, we got to bed really, really late and then it took me quite a while to settle. Now its morning and thank goodness
lferion requested coffee to be made last night. Both mel and I needed a cuppa this AM for going to work.
