Weekend not to bad...
Aug. 9th, 2010 10:19 amFriday at work was...annoying. It was unproductive due to a million different things including people being gone, production not producing and a huge interoffice move. So I left and treated myself to a pedicure and some shopping. I picked up some stuffing to making my crobot which made me happy. Had utter fail when shoe shopping..couldn't find a single things that fit or that I liked. Bleah. Oh, well. Got home and took a nap. Mel was making russian meatloaves and being busy in the kitchen. They took longer to cook than he anticipated but that gave me time to get the banana pudding made and into the fridge to chill.
Game was good. Fighting demi-gods never is fun and they retreated but honestly. Even with me casting at 4 levels above where I actually can things aren't very effective. Oh, well, we'll figure something out I'm sure. The scary part is, this isn't the main baddy...this is just his shock troops.
My legs were hurting pretty bad by the time the game ended and I manged to get things settled before bed but man were things sore. I slept okay but was a bit fitful. We slept in until about 830 on Saturday or so. It was nice. The girls weren't happy about that but they coped. I managed to chat with mom for a while and then get a shower so I could head to phx for the scribe and dive at
callas_and_ivy's. Mel figured out that he had "red ring of death" on the xbox. Ooh. I drove to phx while he went to best buy. Found out that since the new xbox came out we don't just get a replacement. We have to wait for them to send us a refurb cause it was a hardware failure. But our harddrive was fine so they took that off and gave it back. That was pretty ingenious I have to say of M$. I got to phx a bit after 1pm. I managed to finish and ATC and almost finish one scroll before I started on another one. I was getting annoyed with the shading. Had a nice time though and got to meet and hang out with folks I don't normally. Oh, and if you didn't know...safaya is a hoot! After we had pizza and cake I headed out to Tempe yarn to see if they had the replacement for my savoy. The color was discontinued and the replacement doesn't work. Oh, well. I can order it (and now have from webs).
Drove home and was glad to have music to sing to. I was tired. Got home and mel was an exhausted lump on the couch. I know he had been out picking with Mingo & Craven and then I was surprised to find that he had bought and installed a brand new cast iron sink in the kitchen (thus the tired). Its awesome.
Here is a slightly blurry pic.
No, it doesn't match the kitchen but its so much better than the piece of crap we had that I don't care. If I cared about the color, I'd call in a color guy to fix it.
We were both beat and headed to bed early. I slept good and woke up on Sunday pretty tired though. We had breakfast at Joe's and then it was home to hang out. I started reading The Knitter's Guide to Wool and just in general vegging. The cats were snuggly and that was nice. About 1pm we headed to Stefan's to work on my casting project. Its gonna work it looks like. I'm happy about that and he made me tools to clean up my mold a bit which is also awesome. Tati and Mingo also stopped by and we ended up heading out to lunch with that at Bumsted's. Such good food. They even have now modified their menu to have an entire section to just devoted to the meatloaf. Nummy.
I have left overs for today's lunch which is also awesome. Headed home and watched some tv. I also managed to finish my little crobot. Its cute. You can see pictures below. I'm happy with how it turned out and the girls at work also think its cute.

I will be making more cause they are cute and quick. Other than that. Not much else happened this weekend for us. It was pretty relaxed and that was good.
