Back on the rapier field

Last night I got re-familiarized with rapier. Its been years (like before I was baroness) that I fought last. I remembered some of it and that was good. I got equipment and need to go over the rules again to make sure I have them for my fighting at Estrella. Much thanks to dverningand Perin for getting me all set up. Plus special thanks to Carys and Lizzie for more equipment and to duchess_asafor a buckler. Everything is falling into place. Got home and Ed and Mel were bottling mead to much giggling! They weren't even drinking. I was weary. I'm trying to take things easy this week and rest but of course I stayed up way late. Eh. Its all good.

Today is lots of meetings and then I'm taking the night off from SCA stuff to go to knit night with the BFF.

I'm happy with the what I did last night but I do not have the stamina in my hand for holding the sword for too long. Eh, I'm fighting on Thursday morning of the war so it shouldn't be too bad. I'll need to get more practice in as things go but it will be great to be on the field with folks.
