Trimming as we go...
Aug. 20th, 2014 08:42 amI spent all night last night after Benton was in bed serging and sewing trim. If I had a foot that could do the auto turn of the small hem life would be so much better but I really need to serge to straigten the cut edge. Sighs. I made ruffles and that was an adventure is my being dumb. First, my machine was threaded wrong which effed the tension and THEN I notice that I never put the foot of teh machine down which explains why my ruffles were way uneven and the tension was borked...sighs. Tonight I will serge/finish edges the petal trim and then hand gather it and start putting it on the overskirt.
I have managed to figure out cat eyes for makeup and need to work on making them thicker now. Yay for They're Real Push-up Liner. It rocks and is easy to use...seriously easy to use.
So a few pictures:
On the left is the ruffles for the underskirt (2 rows), on the floor is the petal trim that willa cut for me and more of the straight trim I may use for bias tape since its already bias cut! But will know more soon.
