The coronation clothes are vexing me on many levels...finally figured out why on Sunday in the midst of "there is not enough of fabric A to do Y" and "that really doesn't go with that" with Ari and DH. What I realized was that I did not want to remake the clothes I did in November as seen in this album.

So, I was fighting design elements and fabrics and details. Its all in the details. Plus I had such a bad experience with my clothes for my last stepping up I'm getting frozen in decision theatre. Sighs but once we actually named what my issue is we realized that if I changed my dress neckline and details I was not treading down that path and sameness. I needed help later when I panicked on cutting out necklines and things being weird. (I was tired and hungry and panicked...just dumb but Ari saved me.).

So tonight I'm going to sit and sew and relax with supernatural playing on netflix and just relax. I will cut out the stuff for champions later and just work on our stepping up clothes. The nice things are that his undertunic is done (Ari did that). And his pants are cut and ready for sewing by Wander. So all good. Just need to get things to handwork for the weekend of SCA events and hopefully Friday (my off day) I can cutout champions and be ready to sew next week. All is good. I can do this.

I am happy with how his sleeve is turning out on his kaftan. The other thing I learned is that the blue diamond twill relaxes after its cut while the random twill (yellow) does not. I had to ask DH that cause I was scared I'd cut a bunch of stuff out wrong. Fabric can be weird.

Also worked on my Daybreak Shawl and I've got two pattern repeats before its done. My goal is to finish it this weekend so I can have it done within the year of my trip that I bought the yarn on.
