Merrily we work on ALL THE THINGS!
Apr. 23rd, 2018 08:17 amI've been panicking...I will admit but last week I buckled down and just worked on things. My allergies are kicking my ass but I've been sitting and sewing and trying to get ahead. I was so beat by Friday. Work was dragging and demoralizing and I headed to my massage appointment with glee. Course my massage therapist noted my legs are swelling again. Sighs. But that just brings to my thinking what I've been feeling. I've not been getting my steps in, I've been eating like crap and drinking too much beer and yeah. I've been feeling shitty cause I've been treating myself shitty. Sighs. But when my allergies are kicking my ass I don't do well. I just need to quit ignoring my fitbit and get my damn steps in and try to sleep more. This is hard when my body perks up and wants to keep working late into the night.
So the weekend was good. Saturday we attended barmaids at a site I'm really, really, really allergic to. I had to take benedryl before afternoon court. I was not sleepy but a bit woozy and spacey but I was that partially before I took it so meh. Got home and changed clothes/put stuff away and collapsed on the couch dozing. Mel made dinner and Dominique arrived. We had a nice evening watching Thor: Ragnarök. I worked on mel's caftan which is slowly coming together. Still lots to do. sighs.
Sunday we all got up early, had breakfast and then started in on cleaning the house. Many hands make light work which was the theme of the day. I did the gross jobs of the bathroom and cleaning out the junk in the front room while Mel, Dominiuqe and Benton straighten things up and swept/vacuumed the rooms. The boys left for a bday party and the girls headed to the grocers. I got dinner on in the crockpot and we got going on stenciling the front panels of the hoods.
Wander, Ari, Angie, Dominique and I got things rolling but my serger refused to be threaded blue. :( I stenciled our zot onto the fronts, Angie ironed them to change the color when they were dry and Mel when he got home got to work on dyeing the bags for the court. He had Sam and Aisha's help and they had a really good time.
The hoods all got done with Ari and Wander sewing. I handed off my underdress for seam finishing and my Champions underdress is getting sewn by Ai'sha. I worked all over the place on things and then sat working on ivan's caftan. I need to add more sleeve length which was planned but I didn't have it together enough to make it test the fit but we now know mister monkey arms needs 6 more inches of sleeve. Sighs. But I made progress and that is the important part. I hope to get the side seams finished tonight during scribbles and cut out my over dress for Champions on Tuesday. So progress just need to keep on pushing and get my moves in. I did 10k steps yesterday so that was awesome...I just need to move and be active which is hard in a desk job and sewing projects sighs.
