Not too bad but not perfect
Feb. 20th, 2025 12:13 pmWork was...special...and thank god I'm good at my job and had everything ready for an emergency that came up in the afternoon. I was annoyed with a SME for suggesting we resolder something on our live asset...like NO! newspaper to the nose. WTF is wrong with you!
Anyhoo, I side eyed the world news and trundled to knitting. I got taco bell for dinner cause I needed comfort food. my standard order is bean burrito no cheese, crunchwrap no cheese/sour cream and fire sauce. not the best but tasty and about 800 calories. I'm looking at the macros and they are awful but I will work some math and see what I can change my order to to make things macro friendly and not so carb heavy.
The night was busy with people but we had two sets of folks which was sad. I wanted to chat with Sara but she was up front with Cassie and Jess. But I had a good chat with Theresa and Cynthia. We had a visitor from Indiana who is a violist and she was quite insistent on know who I know in the business. I was like uhm...I'm a hobbyist now and don't know local folks. I have other hobbies. She was so insistent and Theresa kept giving her the side eye. Anyhoo. I worked on the rose. I had been watching short videos on the process and did my best but the gold was shiny and I had a hard time seeing things. Its okay but not perfect and I will add in another strand or to and on the next one use a thinner couching thread.
My photos are now all posted for the war. I'm super happy with a lot of them. There are some meh ones like the pelican ceremony which I'm not good at night time and I need to know how to set my phone for better shutter speed for night photos. Anyhoo the albums

I have this weekend to finish up the rose (YIKES!) but we have travel to phx tomorrow to see Bertana and hit the science museum and spend time with her. I wish I could go to quiltcon cause I want to see Chris of Rose City Originals Bertana is here working the show for her job at Seamless Sewing Arts in Phoenixville, PA.
So we shall see how it goes but I know Saturday and Sunday will be all about embroidery
