Thursday....

Well, I managed to get everything on my to do list done but call Arsenda. I was so tired driving home from Sioux Falls that I just listened to loud music and watched for deer.

I was just done when I got home and had a few drinks and bed. Mel was up way too late.

I had done a lot in my hour after knitting but finding things in unfamiliar stores is frustrating ...especially when I pull up the wrong store on my phone to tell me what aisle things are in. But I gotta say I really really love Menards. They have a bit of everything and more, everyone is friendly and helpful. I went in for one thing and got a lot more things which did not involve me paying Walmart anything.

I was also able to return the lantern we had bought at walmart in Wisconsin and got the money back on my card without a receipt. Yes!

My unfucked shawl is fucked again or I can't count. I'm betting its a bit of column a and B. Sighs. So I just put it away and knit on mel's sock. I'm sad that was my last knit night there until next year.

The van now has a shiny new bumper and we used a tiny local collision shop who only takes checks. But yay. That is done and was easy. Will remember to recommend them. The repair shop in Beresford recommended them and we were super happy to support local and damn it was cheap and done in a day.

I did have a very good convo with my head CE and I'm preparing documentation for a promotion based on my work and what I do etc. If I don't get it, then the program will open a rec for my job and I have to apply and interview for my own job (le sigh). but this brings in my imposter syndrome where I don't meet all of the criterion exactly so I can't have it right? Ugh stoopid. But I'm doing a comparison chart to hopefully get me a leg up.

Shanda and her mom are arriving late tonight for a weekend stop over. We have beds to make and things to wash up but we should be good to go on that point.

Gonna call Arsenda later or at least text.

We will be on the road south to the Tucson home this time next week :(
