Well, I spent the last week working a lot and trying to stay ahead. I should have worked this weekend but I didn't. Part of me is just tired and part of me just really needed a break. I'll be making up for it by working late Tuesday and today so we shall see how we do. I have a lot of stuff on the line but we should be okay.
So, Benton had a good week at school. He got to see the new tarantula in the big kid class for being good and taking a nap! Spiders are a motivator! who knew? He's also probably growing. Its been double breakfasts and uber tired at night. Saturday he curled up on the couch with me for quite a while and watched Frozen. Which he liked.
Speaking of Frozen, we've seen a lot of movies lately and have caught up on the queue. To date we've seen: Red, Wreck-it Ralph, Frozen, Cowboys and Aliens, Iron Man III and I'm sure I'm missing something. We still need to watch Sherlock Season 3 and I may load that to my iPad for the upcoming trip. We shall see.
The other cool thing is that Benton now has enough attention span to sit and play games with us. Not including Skylanders which he plays with Mel but to sit and play board games with us. We played Who Shook Hook which he got for his birthday. Its like operation and mousetrap and lots of fun. He's really improved his fine motor skills with it in a big way. On the potty training front he's doing okay. We had a poop in his underwear and its tragic enough that hopefully he won't do it again. I also hope that being around his older cousin for a week will tip us into being fully potty trained. (crossing fingers)
Other than that we are okay. I made it back to the gym last week (once) but its good. I also had my ultra sound for checking my kidneys. Hopefully that will exonerate me ever having to see the kidney doc again.
I'm also about to finish The Bloggess's Let's Pretend this Never Happened. Not sure what I'm going to read next...probably Ready Player One.
On the knitting front:
I finished 1 each of a mitt for myself, a sock for mel and a sock for me:
