Things have been pants
Jul. 11th, 2022 10:36 amWell, after Fabric War I got the lovely notice from a Duke who I hung out with that he tested postiive for COVID. I double masked the entire event and ate my lunch outside in the breeze. But I tested every 48 hours and that was all negative. It was annoying though since I didn't go places and my anxiety spiked hard. I had an okay weekend for the 4th minus the fact everyone and their dog was shooting fireworks off for 4 days straight so I was on a benadryl high most of the weekend. We didn't do much but play a lot of video games. Highlight was lunch out with the bestie and a visiting Count from Midrealm.
Mel is doing better on the antibiotics. He has less pain and less ache...he can tell things are getting better but again we still have a few more weeks of this. We shall see if he needs more after the 6 week course is done. But at least it seems to be working. He's still getting major tired from the meds which means at least one nap a day.
My gym time has been crap due to july meaning I have mom appts all the dang time. she has 5 days of radiation to help with the hip pain, the last is today. We had 2 weeks to pull together a huge ROM for work and then a day to put together a presentation to present to each of like 12 depts. I've give 6 of them and a few more coming this week but its been nuts and long hours and I'm tired. The weekend I didn't dally too much? Friday night we had a date night since Benton had a camp thing till 930. We tried a new to us Korean BBQ. OMG so good. Seriously. good.
We then got to continue on the date with meandering around Bookmans and then Total Wine. Total Wine has removed all Russian Vodka and want you to buy Ukrainian which donated funds...which we did. I also got a bottle of Pink Titmouse which supports cancer research. Plus we got a 12 pack of Session Lager for my mom. She wanted small cans of beer like you get soda but they don't do that so we got her 11 oz stubby bottles. Its the least we can do and its fun beer to drink. Remember she used to work at Annheiser-Busch as a secretary and got beer at lunch daily when she was in her 20s. She likes her lager. lol
Saturday I slept in and then read for a while. Played Stardew Valley and then started the arduous task of handwashing all of the handwashing that had accumulated since March. I washed both of my big wool sweaters I wore at mom's and they were filthy. OMG. So gross. But I got them washed and drying after the 3rd tub soak. Then I moved on to the veils and shawls and headwraps etc. Plus my handwash shift. It was a lot of things and I had all of the racks full and stuff hanging in the house since it was windy and off and on rainy which means stuff would just get dirty again. So many things. I also cleaned my studio and had Mel put up the pet net that I started and couldn't do. Which meant I went through all of the paperwork piles and put shit away. I have to print our W2s and that is it for the taxes to be dropped off.
So better late than never and yes I have an extension.
Finished up the second book in the trilogy and wow this just gets weirder. I'm only into chapter 3 of twilight watch and wow...still weird.
more later.
