Still in the boot...

Well the weekend I had intended to work on things ended up with me working most of it. That sucked. I have things due and nothing was working and excel kept crashing. Ugh. So the next week was more nuts. Work was intense and we had 3 days in that week due to issues and meetings. Then I had hopes to work on things for more and was just too tired. I took the 3 day weekend and did not work after putting in almost 60 hours that week. I had errands on Friday which were involved. I had kitten food to get, I needed a pedicure to deal with some nasty big toe nails, needed a target run and buying new tennis shoes. The shoes were first and I hit some deals at DSW and one of the pairs I got were a pair of cute safety shoes which are as tall as the lift from teh boot (yay even hips) and were 60% off the listed price and then I had a 25% coupon and they were $17. My toes got done in a pretty sparkly purple, I got essentials at Target (like more covid tests boo cause that is still a thing). i got this all done by about 2pm and came home and crashed for a nap until dinner time.
Saturday we as a family headed out to Apple Annie's in Willcox to get pumpkins and produce. Its a you-pick place and has all of the fun trappings of kettle corn, a corn maze, and field after field of produce to go pick. We had packed our wagon, my foldable stool and my Rus cane and had a very good time. I was good and didn't push too hard. I sat in the shade with while the boys did the easy and intermediate portions of the corn maze. We got 16 pumpkins of various sizes and colors plus peppers, green beans, yellow beans, eggplant, zucchinis etc. Mel made fresh chile verde chicken and steamed up all the beans for freezing. I plan to grill the peppers and process the zucchini later this week.
Sunday we were all just zonked. I even took a 2-3 hour nap. It was super windy at the farm so not suprised we all just kinda vegged out. I managed costco with the boy in the morning after taking care of the Ari clowder. That and some laundry that still needs to be put away was all that was accomplished. bleah.
Had PT yesterday and while the ankle is doing better its not ready for me not being in the boot. There is one exercise I can't do yet with out lots of pain so at least another week. Sighs.
