So, mel is feeling better but now is in the stage of coughing crap up. Which he hates and I wish he'd take some expectorant to help with it. But thats just me who has to listen to him cough. We got home from work and he started his bottles and made a nummy steak/corn/salad dinner. While he was cooking I started cleaning out the fridge...got about half way and found a corningwear container...I open it to reveal stuffing from CHRISTMAS!!! OMG! Though it didn't look or smell that bad but it was mostly frozen so, yeah.

I made beads after dinner and am getting better at the round ones. I even had fun playing with raking techniques and I also tried my hand at "rainbow" beads. Their neat, totally modern and I almost got it to work. I just need to work on my overwrapping the bead with clear without mangling the design. Its all about flame control...so practice, practice, practice. Then I chatted with [livejournal.com profile] czochalski on IM for a while and then started pulling out fabric to trim out mel's new gambeson. We finally decided on the same brocade as my new crown coat...so we'll kinda match. Neat. I should have no problem getting it done in time for saturday...I will pin it all together tonight before my hair appointment and maybe bring it along for starting...we shall see.

So, then mel and I traipsed to the park. I had business to take care of and he wanted to chat with richard. All was good but I was cold and stiffening up by the time we left. Got home and butterfly was being really bad. She kept walking across the island to get across the kitchen. We didnt' feed her until obsidian was almost done with her food and she got beat for misbehaving. She sulked in the bedroom and I awoke this morning with her curled up on my tummy. Course mel says that I hogged the bed the whole night. Guess that's payback for him and the girls stealing the covers the previous night.

So, yeah fun. I've gotten some progress on my new models...its just difficult with our software. If I had solidworks this would have been easy...

In other items, since their seems to be the need for my person to act more period I've been researching new last names...raventhourne is english and its nice but not what I want for a more period persona. I've found "Ivan's Wife" seems kinda nice (yes its sexist by today's standards but hey, thats what they did). So it would be Ianuk Ivaniaia...which I'm still working on the pronunciation. The extra "I" is getting me. I'll have to ask the guy on the row over. So we shall see.
