Thursday...and friday morning.
Mar. 4th, 2005 09:06 amSo, I was supposed to get things done and my main model didn't work. Just kept crashing the program and I didn't have time before I left to try it from the cold reboot or to try to bring in a previous version of the file. I'm the last person to use it...so it might have been me messing it up or it just might be the weirdness that is Pro/e.
So after an annoying section meeting I left work and mel and I headed to costco with our rebate (amex) check. Bought the tax software so I can do that next week, a nice blue silk shirt for mel, two cook books (mediterranean and irish), 50# of flour, 25# of rice, pork chops and a couple of tank tops for me. So it only cost us $50...since we had a $50 rebate. So then it was a dasht to Dickman's and then home for mel to cook dinner and me to work on his coat. My sugar crashed within ten minutes of being home and I was dizzy by the time I was digging into dinner but I recovered and was only about 25 minutes late to mingo's. Picked up the packet of papers I needed (all discussion on that should be closed until after next friday everybody). And started work on my new povionik and pinning trim bits to mel's coat. Povoinik ended up being about 80% finished...just needs the trim sewed on and a drawstring.
Got home after a 10pm safeway run for sugar (mel was making marmalade and was completely out of sugar). I stayed up and finished some more of the coat with the machine until I ran out of bobbin and I think we read till almost midnight. So, waking up this morning at 5:30 was a bit tough but we got going. I dropped mel off at work, headed to Joe's Pancake House for breakfast and then to the dealership for the warranty/recall repair of my catalytic converter. Got home about 8:10 and have been sewing away at mel's coat. I have the bottom trim on and have almost completed the trim on one sleeve which just leaves a few places for hand stitching, the other sleeve to trim (takes more time to pin then to sew), splitting the gusset for air holes, buttons and loops to put on it and hopefully a trip through the laundry to get the bulk down since mel doesn't want to look like a linebacker with all of the quilted padding. I have to finish my povionik. I should be able to get that all done but we shall see. I gotta get it done though...this is why I never try to work on projects the day before an event but this is special...plus I insisted mel look better. SO we shall see..toodles!
