Apr. 7th, 2005 07:02 amSo, I started out yesterday on the right foot. I tried not to be in a bad mood, kept up the blood sugar (almost too much but I didn't care), made a ton of very meaningful and helpful phone calls and kept on task throughout the day. So, just remember when your king calls you "baby" and says "love you" when you get off of the phone, nothing can really go wrong.
So mel and I headed to the house on 42nd Street. Well, after some discussion we put an off on it. Its a bit smaller than we wanted but there are 3 covered patios that would make good work shops, nice but oddly shaped yard but most of the 1400 sq feet is in the living spaces which is right where we need it. Everything fits with nice room and it had a gas stove. We're not getting our hopes up (we were the second offer and two more couples saw the house as we were leaving) but hey its a step. Its at the lower end of our price range and that will help us to more quickly get a workshop built and probably make it environmentally controlled plus tear up carpet in the dining room to put in tile. So, not too shabby. Nice neighborhood. I'll keep everybody posted. Oh so everybody can see 42nd Street
After we put the offer on the house we picked up mingo and met jake/megan at Metro for dinner. I've never had such bad service there..they've messed with the bar (probably for the March Madness crap) but we'll go back and see if it was just the night. Once we got a server the food came really quickly but I think mel and I were really, really spoiled with James (the bartender whom we haven't seen in a while). Then we all went to Sin City. Its not quite what I expected..its been over ten years since I read the comic but it was good in that sick disgusting way...kinda like pulp fiction.
( Sin City Spoilers )
So, nice evening. Gonna work through somemore things and I'm feeling better...two nights just relaxing is good. Tonight I have a business meeting so I can't make TKD, but I will be raring to go Friday. I think Saturday will be weed pulling, sewing and maybe a bike ride. Its all looking up.
