Working Wednesday
Jun. 2nd, 2005 07:35 amSo, got home, changed and headed to the house to drop mel off. I made returns to Ace and Homedepot and got the new porch light with my return money. Got back and richard hadn't shown up yet...so headed home while mel was still painting trim to call him and load up the truck with crafty bits. He'd been there at 4 not 4:30 but was there when I got back with my load of all of our fabric, yarn and 3 boxes of books.
I unloaded and installed the gate lock on the side gate...unfortunately the haft of the padlock I got is too large for the hole but I'll get one to work...but now if the wind picks up the gate won't fly open. I left about 7:30 while richard was still wiring the new porch light and a doorbell. Mel was painting and they said they'd be home in about 30 minutes so I made dinner. Unfortunately I didn't look first to see that we were out of speghetti sauce and I only had one small can of tomato sauce so I couldn't sub anything. So, I cooked up the sausage and the rotinni pasta and waited for them until 8:45..then I headed to the store. I bought Barilla sauce for the first time...even though its more expensive it doesn't have any parmesan in the sauce like the cheap stuff. So, got home...finished the pasta prep and waited. Called mingo to have him drive by (cause he's less than a mile away) and waited. Just as mingo was leaving (I figure) they got home. So, we sat down to dinner at 9:15. Very late for all of us. But it was hot, good and nummy. I think we were in bed about 10 but I was so tired I didn't even read.
Oh, on another note, we got a laser pointer and butterfly has been going nuts about it...so, its been fun watching her play, run out of steam and lay on the tile to cool down.
Today brings more of the same. Mel and I agreed that we would paint one wall in the family room the serengetti plain...so we get to do that tonight...before we each head out to martial arts classes. But then all of the painting (minus ceiling touchups will be completed and it will be good.) We also need to rearrange the guest room because the switch that controls the outlet is the outlet we wanted the computer on (doh!) so...gonna have to play around with placement of stuff but I think it will be fine. Having the new computer desk on wheels makes switching things a breeze. So, looks like we'll be mostly set for moving major stuff over the weekend. We'll probably be fully moved in by the 10th so all is good....I'm still worried about the girls though...not sure how they are gonna take being moved...but I need to borrow another cat carrier to transport them.
