So that was a Monday...
Aug. 9th, 2005 06:55 amGot a good ways on my drawing, just a few tweaks right now. I will start on my slides after some breakfast. Everything else is falling into place.
Got my toes done last night. Feel kinda quitly going back to Topline nails verus milady's where I normally go...but I felt like it. It was worth the guilt...their massage chairs are great and I got the best foot massage I have had in ages. My toes are now blue with white suns on the big toes..yeah, go ATENVELDT! So then I got home and started putting thing away from highlands and A&S. The front room was a disaster and now its much better, still a few things to put away but much better. Got all of my sca laundry done, got some silk washed up for mel to look at.
We think was have his outfit figured out. His under tunic is a bright blue linen (I'll be doing trim). His caftan is a wonderful yellow saffron silk (Katelena will do some embroidery and mel some trim), his pants are a teal silk or wool..can't remember. We decided that his mantle coat will be lined in gold silk but we still need green wool for the appliques. I decided on a green wool overdress to go with my current red silk underdress...just need to figure out what I will trim it in. I don't know if I have time for full embroidery but we shall see.
So, we got fabric figured out (up to approval by the committeee) and I read through all of my results and will be making notes to send to Thegn Steffan of folks that need to retake the judging class. Ten point differences between judges isn't the norm. Plus you really shouldn't belittle a project that the entrant selected and then suggest they should have entered something different. Rather poor form that. So, all fun there.
The rain was nice to go to sleep with last night but I'm still tired here...oh well, I can sleep on the plane on friday. So, tonight after getting home from work I will be sewing the last two seams on my purple silk over dress, sewing mel's wool tunic and then heading to class and out to fighter practice for just a little bit of social time. I need it. I need to not be in the house doing stuff...just for an hour or so. See you then.
