The laziness that is ianuk...
Sep. 2nd, 2005 04:59 pmSo, its 5pm... I got up today at almost 9...uhm...felt like ass, didn't go on bike ride. Did have breakfast with the kitties...who aren't being fed right now. (More on the starvation later). I monkeyed around the kitchen and got dinner in the crockpot, the dishes loaded and finally by 1pm got mel's coat cut out. Then I napped and finally at about 3pm I started sewing on coat. Just finished coat (minus fit checks etc)...yeah so lazy. But I will go to class, I will straighten up the front room and I will have a good beer tonight.
So, on the kitten starvation front. Mel figured out why they havent been their normal hungry selves. Seems that BOTH OF THEM have been looting the cabinet of bulk food while we've been gone so not wanting to eat when they are supposed to. Mel noticed Butterfly was looking pretty porky (seriously) and he investigated again for possible treat theft and found a 5 inch hole in the food bag. So, food bag gets moved to the storage room and they didn't get fed dinner last night and mel fed them a small amount this morning. I love my girls, its proven that they are really smart cause it involved lots of manuevering and deception to get to the bulk food in the TOP OF THE PANTRY. Plus they were nice enough to shut the door so we never noticed. So, they are strictly back on 1/2 cup of food morning and night and will be not getting any treats. Now for those of you who are going "Ianuk and Ivan are starving them if they must scavange for food!" you are quite mistaken. We feed them morning and night, they are not malnourished. Anyone who has been with them knows they are just greedy little buggers. Especially around dinner time. Well, better do the last of the picking up before class.
