Jan. 5th, 2006 06:54 amSo, after work I came home and napped....it was good. Then I headed to the bank for dropping off some xmas money and mel's check for bills. Then it was a quick leisurely drive to Dede's for my pampering session. I now have my original hair color back with just a few small highlights. Very nice, expensive but worth the smile on my husbands face when I came home. Seriously. So, after the pampering I headed to Big Lots to get sunglasses. Both of my pairs have disappeared since we got back. This is unusual for me...I tend to hang onto pairs for years...but yeah, so two pairs for 2 bucks and some chai lattes for travelling this weekend and all is well. I caved and had jack-in-the-box...since it was convenient and I really wanted a burger.
I had to try a Cibatta burger and dude, so good. Got to
genkadin's pad about 7:45pm after taking a wrong turn and parking at the wrong apartment (oops) and then setteled in to sew, chat and kibitz. So, good. The kids were fun to listen to, everyone was being productive and I agree with Jules, no boys (except Ryan) next time. Makes it easier...though I guess mel can come cause he's artsy...though I guess richard could too since we need to do sewing lessons...anyhoo. Had a great time.
Got home about 10:15, showered and then had a pint of "Poor Richard's Ale" and it was good. Snuggled down to sleep. Course I wake this morning to a cold house (55°). I had turned the heat off last night, not down like I had thought (oops). So, I turned it to 60° when I hit the kitchen. The Kemps really need to go grocery shopping today as well as hitting the bike shop so we can both bike to kung fu. Not sure if I will be making it to stitch and bitch but we shall see.
I have 1.5 medallions on my hem trim left along with the beading on that piece, that just leave 6 medallions over the two peices of arm trim and then 7 medallions on mel's stuff. I should be able to finish my trim tonight if I hurry (at least the embroidery) and then get started on mel's. Its my hand work project for his caftan but I still need to cut out the cuffs and collar since I found the patterns. But we game on Friday night (though honestly I would like to go to keg's end) so I should be able to get a good ways on things this weekend. Our goal is to finish with Nikki's move quick and then come home to load the truck and then have lunch with mughi in phx. Just need to call him. Well, I better get cracking on change notices and reintroducing my brain to a set of drawings.
