Wow, weekend.

Well, after a kinda stressful week I was glad to get out of town and into nice, cool mountains. The drive was sucky for the wind but was easy to do lots of things like low traffic and such. Our cabin was nice and it was quiet. Shanda arrive about an hour after us and we had nummy soup. I was tired and a bit strung out from the drive and we headed to bed not long after Blossom and Medb. I didn't sleep well and my tummy was bothering me which became a big thing throughout the whole weekend. I'm just glad I didn't have to run to the porta potties in mid court. Couple of highlights though. Before court we were chatting with a Master of Arms and his wife who turned out to be Charles of the JACs and his wife. The recognized us as Rus and we chatted for quite a while, especially about their trips to Russia since his wife (name is escaping me) has her masters in Russian Language and culture. That felt good. The next was after giving Phelan and Elzbeita our gifty baskets to them. We we told to hang out..actually mel was told to move to the side and Dennis told him to stay put. I was awarded the Commander of the Fluer de Soliel. Which is our Grant level arts award that can only be given out once per reign. Wow. I was stunned. I was further stunned cause I got Ari's awesome BLACK SCROLL OF DOOM!!!! Wow. Just wow. I'm still kinda stunned. Course the rest of the day was tummy ick and being really glad to be Rus in a nice coat and fur hat. It was coolish most of the day and we were sitting by the open door to the hall. Got done with courts (I hope to have pictures up soonish but I will have to edit the flips online since I can't download them to the HD cause I don't have room anymore). We got the fireplace going and had a nice dinner grilled chx and blossom's awesome pasta salad. I was very ill and snuggled up in my coat still in garb all evening. Charles and Christine stopped by with mead and we drank a nice warm bottle of it. Shanda and medb headed out to parties in payson and blossom, mel and I chatted until a reasonable hour. I slept much better but trips to the bathroom were required. I awoke on sunday and got breakfast going and still felt icky. Court was fun in the morning and then was the calendar meeting. I had to leave in the middle for the potty and didn't get much better so we left early before the closing courts. I know I missed some good stuff at court but I bundled up under my coat and slept a good chunk of the drive home. We stopped off at A&W in Chandler for a potty break and floats and that was dinner for me. We got home about 530 and I slept until 630. I attempted again to lay out mom's mother's day gift and that didn't work. I need to rethink it again. I did make a few beads, dipped rods, rested and made a new necklace with a neat piece of carnelian that I had. Mel didn't like it but I'll go for other opinions tonight. I slept good minus dealing with a very whiny and pushy obisidian.

It looks like I don't need to work production but we shall see. I don't feel good and its just gonna be oatmeal and ramen today. Ugh.
