New doc and more
Jul. 17th, 2007 11:29 amWell, work progressed fine minus me being a coughing zombie most of the day...not as bad of a zombie as Saturday but I had my moments. Left and got to the doc appointment on time. Got ushered in and asked lots of questions by the nurse, got perturbed by the scale that reads 10lbs more than mine at home and settled in to wait. Well, I come to find that I'm not having my yearly exam, I'm having a get to know you consultation. I'm not really happy about that...they could have warned me or told me to schedule with one of the OBGYN to get that taken care of. So, I chat with the new doctor, try to go over my list of things I want to discuss but I'm not comfortable talking about. Sigh... Well, she upped my Advair to a new higher dosage and then put me on singular as well. I'm not happy about being on new drugs...but they gave me lots of samples to see if this works before I actually spend the money to get the scripts filled. Dunno. I left and made my next appointment for Aug 9th.
I got home to find that richard had installed a window AC unit into the brewery and they were playing with temperature control for the room. Mel was playing with string and I made myself a sammich and had a beer and then took a nap. I was tired. Got up and immediately had to handle an SCA issue. Got packed up and kinda perked up on energy while at Ari's...thank goodness for kids and an abundance of energy to feed on. Painted and finished up the dragon eating sheep scroll and now I can start on my raven basilisk with period pigments next week. Ya!
Got home and mel was just getting out of the shower and then he sat back down to do more weaving on his baby loom. I think he's practicing do he can get his big loom warped up eventually. He finished up a 4.5 ounce run of very, very fine wool spinning. He's doing more next but he's really liking the wheel. I took a shower and read some more in Daywatch.
Today I'm tired. Found out that Italy is the 23rd of Sept but they will only be sending one of us REA's unless we can come up with a good reason. I'm senior so its most likely me but I only have control over 5 of the 10 parts we are reviewing and I'm not sure I can handle the other one's without a serious amount of work. We shall see how that pans out.
