What a great day!
Apr. 6th, 2008 09:48 amFriday night was the D&D game. I made some good tactical decisions and had saved a few higher level spells that saved our butts. See, we've been defending this town for the 2nd wave of the masses of the undead after already defending another town that day...which means that we're low on the firepower since non of us has had sleep. The first round of undead I used the blade barrier to blenderize most of them..this time around we made sure to have them funnel into the gate so we could fireball/sun strike them. Except when the ghasts and ghouls scaled the icy walls. But mel had one more thing up his sleeve...an undead dire bear. It charged the gate and I turned it, being a cleric, and then I flame striked it. All good. Then it was just mopping up the last of the zombies. Slept really good.
Had breakfast at Joe's with Zippy, richard and mel. Then we headed out to the street fair with folks. Wander met us after reading my blog about bumsteds and then we shopped a bit more and headed to the barrio brewery. Really nice place, good beer and darts. Sweet. After we realized the time, we stopped off at the 17th Street Market and then home. I wrapped up ari's birthday gift and then we loaded up the keg and cooler and headed to a very relaxed and fun party. Needless to say...we all know, whether we wanted to or not, what "raise the roof" means due to the words of Ed. Uhm...yeah. WE left about midnight and got home to hungry kitties.
This morning we slept in and I need to get my studio bits completed to make beads this afternoon. I am meeting meg for lunch at some point but also need to get my self cleaned up...all of the time in the sun yesterday and I feel itchy. Probably allergies and stuff. but we shall see. I'm a little off but that could just be tiredness.
