Well, I worked on the failed unit most of the day. We are pretty convinced that the part we thought failed hadn't and when I left things were hunky dory...I just got a voicemail that makes me think we aren't so certain anymore. Sighs. But we did good work so eh.

Got home and cleaned up the studio. i just have a few SCA clothes to put away, the sewing machines to stow and the glass to set up. By that time I started in on my documentation some more and then mel was home. I left soon after to find vittles and richard was over to work on his Dragon's Horde projects. Got home with dinner (roasted chx and salad) and then we had dinner and chatted and then got ready to go to Arts night. The evening kept threatening rain but nothing appeared. The class was good and got people thinking about the effort of being B&B and it was neat to hear some of the Atenveldt history from Thegn Lothar. We got home about 945pm and mel and I chatted on all things weaving.

All of the experts in what I'm trying to do do it the "weaver's way" and well, Mel does things the "efficient way" and it gets confusing to understand the nomenclature...especially when everyone calls things just slightly differently. But eh, I'm getting it now. But man, I have to explain it in my documentation and its a bit weird.

Got to bed after reading some and slept well...though my legs both kept trying to cramp up a bit. Need to drink more water today. Hopefully after work we can go visit Miss Holly and [livejournal.com profile] american_knight and [livejournal.com profile] duchess_asa and then maybe, just maybe I can get beads made or at least get some practice one's done so I can make more on friday. Too much to do in a very small amount of time. Sighs.

So, I walk into the downstairs bathroom (not my usual haunt since my cube is upstairs) and see two of our customer ladies having a dilemma on how to deal with a wardrobe malfunction of a zipper in the up position. I assist the desperate looks with first pliers and then a swiss army scissors from a co-irker and get the zipper to at least be down. Luckily, customer lady has other slacks in the car and is very happy to change...after she hits the head. I'm not sure how long they had been struggling with the zipper but it must have been a while. But I saved the day!

Course got some weird looks from the boys when I went back and forth with tools to the bathroom.

Sorry, I've been posty today...eh. I need the break.
