Merrily we trudge along...
Nov. 13th, 2008 07:25 amWork was workiness. After a meeting the day before where I didn't understand what a query was doing I had very intelligent questions to ask the DB manager. Then we had a really good meeting today where I heard the lightbulb click on. I like when that happens. I've been working really long days to make up time from southern and I will be in work tomorrow, our "off" friday. But I'm gonna work split shift around a doc appointment. I'm actually looking forward to a day without everyone there..it will be nice to sit work on my status report (actually plan my attack for things for the rest of the year), work on my performance screen etc. It will be quiet and nice.
After the last ENT appt he suggested I take sudafed for a prolonged time. I finally got around to getting some and we shall see if it helps. I'm doubtful but I'm always willing to see surprises. But I figure I'll track it here to make sure.
Got home and was tired. I had hit the bank to transfer xmas spending money and when I got home mel was making dinner. I sat on the couch to chat with richard and got into a long conversation with HRM Cecilia on the phone. Then I ate dinner and was more tired. I was feeling the need for some space and headed out not to kung fu but to run the 2 errands I need to do for my weekend projects. It felt good and I got home about the same time as mel. We chatted more with richard and watched tv. All good and relaxing.
Today will be another long day at work but I have specific, non-nebulous things, to work on which makes me happier. Though when the new year comes I'm gonna ask for them to find me a replacement (which I know will take mucho time) so I figure I'll ask early and start hunting for a new position. I need a change.
