The life in between the times...

So, I'm back from War. 10 days is a long time...it was exhausting. I'm sick of putting tent stakes back into the ground...I'm sick of the wind and I really don't like rain in the least. But I enjoyed the warm mead, the homemade cinnamon rolls, the battles, the tourneys, the pageantry, my landsknechts, BTY's battlefront being a photo op, teaching classes, even to one person, the spectacle of the world for a while in a different time.

So much to remember its hard to write it down...so I guess I will keep moving forward and have a good day to myself. I took today off to have time to myself to get things settled in the modern world before I have to go to work tomorrow. I've started to unpack...the coolers are done and need to be dumped, wash has started and I've cataloged all of the books. (16 at war, 2 at the rio grande show). The girls were very, very happy to have me snuggled up in bed with them. I too was glad to have them. The day is a bit gray out...and the house is cold which is weird since its 65ºF. I was comfortable at war and now I'm cold...how strange. I guess I just need more coffee.

Well, time to get everything going...lots to do...and then maybe a nap.

The girls have been dragging my little nalbinded hat...it was in the bedroom with us this morning...now obsidian has brought it to the family room.

OMG, do I get left odd things in the fridge by houseguests!
