Monday...busy, busy..
Mar. 17th, 2009 07:18 amWork was, frustrating in its slowness to get progress on emergency issues. Too much explaining the same thing over and over...come the the damn meetings people! Sheesh!
Got home and I needed something completely different and watched Emperor's New Groove while I finished the hem on the cote. We all had family dinner while watching the movie since mel was nice enough to get dinner on while I sewed. Mingo and Richard arrived home just in time for vittles. Wander was close behind and she got to have dinner while the hem was finally finished. Then we had fun fitting the sideless and then stenciling laurels onto its top. I left while it was drying to head to scribble where I got to finish the base painting on the the pelican scroll for Katrei. Its gonna be faboo and I'm already in luv with the small period style. Its gonna be awesome. Calontir will have no idea of what to do when they see it. I have to say, the ladies were in rare form. Much snorting, giggling and guffaws were had by all. I know most of us needed it. Glad that
bewilde was out again and we are in awe of her white work OMG PRETTY!
Got done there and then headed to Sunflower for veggies and yogurt and then home where I walked into an argument, called do over, put groceries away and then had resolution on coronet patterns. See, we have these things called sumptuary traditions...I like to go by them...but other people don't so coronets look odd and sizing looks strange. 2 inches is all we get for landed...if it was court baronetcies it would just be 1.5 inches. not a lot of space. Heck the baronial coronets had to be grandfathered in when the traditions were updated. Anyhoo..they are small and I think we have a good compromise. They will be plain to start with and then we will fancyfy them. Then I went to bed and finished a book and then had a hard time falling asleep. The sinuses were protesting and my asthma cough was returning. Bleah.
Happy St. Pat's today. Wonder how practice will be...it will be my last practice as baroness and that is kinda sad. But I'm looking for goof fights and good times.
