Ravens full speed ahead!
Mar. 16th, 2009 07:17 amWeekend was busy..omg...seriously...I didn't want to get out of bed this morning..so tired and well the cats and the hubby stole most of the covers all night so I was cold most of the night. So to recap...
Saturday lots of progress on projects. Mel's coat got sewn, my cote got buttons and buttonholes and sleeves and the kirtle sleeves almost got done (more on that annoyance later). Finished up about 7pm on projects and Mingo and I headed out to a small get together. Party was nice and calm, though a few non-sca folks were being a bit rude. Didn't get arizona pin stripes on the car on the way home and was happy about that. Packed for the demo when we got home and then it was sleep. By this point mel was much better and had been eating food which was good.
Sunday morning was early set up...kinda stressful with a brain dead hubby but all good. Got things organized got to site, the demo kinda runs itself with the amount of people we had and that was nice. The parade always takes forever and they have us lined up way too early. What was really funny is they had the 501 Storm Trooper Battalion behind us. Having Darth Vader ask for water and shade was hilarious. catjim carrying a huge umbrella over me. Its good to be the baroness.
Here's a picture of the parade. . I got lunch at Tamlin's since his is the best corned beef and it was his last merchanting ever. Got hugs and kisses from him and good food as well. Gonna miss him and his lady but better things are ahead for them. Got back to the demo and I guess I wowed a bunch of people with my painting. Still weird to think in that frame of mind..though I was working on the orange flemish which is quite striking. I've almost got that done which means I have three scrolls left to finish (and tons to callig) before the hedgefund fu starts. Tee hee.
After the parade we got home and changed. Met wander at Sweet Tomatoes and had a nice evening of dinner and then clothing fu. Tried on the cote for the first time and it fits wonderfully. But the kirtle sleeves were now too small to do overlapping button holes. Sighs. I can fix them but not this week. I'm gonna put a small button and a loop on each one and call it good. Wander then fit me for my sideless and its gonna be aweseome! I think my raven is even bigger on my dress than it is on my banner. Tee hee!
So the list is getting smaller but my time is getting shorter...I will have to call artimise sometime this week to work on the thank yous...and now I can't find my file...ooops. Its at home somewhere. I'm sure. Oh, well things have been fun at work today already.
