well, work was work but things are falling into place to close out a few large tasks that got waylaid due to all of the other stuff going on. All good.
Got home and was tired and headachey. The allergies are killing me. Gah. So I attempted to rest while the boys play COD but I just got up and headed to bed..much quieter and cooler and snuggly. I slept for about an hour or so and woke up bleary eyed. I took out my contacts and cleaned up a bit before heading out to Grandma's Spinning Wheel for Knitting night. I had a good time. I got the door prize of a really nifty travel light and I got to see other crafts and chat. It was nice. I also almost got the 4 rose done. I have the leaves left and the white outline on the center. All good. I also picked up a spinning wheel decal for the car and a an ounce(?) of northern lights colorway fiber, I think in Grape Jelly. I'll be spinning all summer learning so I figure I'd get myself some "good stuff" to play with.
Mel went to kung fu...I knew I was not up for that. I'm feeling better but still off. He came home exhausted and he didn't spin too much after his shower and was reading when I got out of mine. I'm reading the 11th Stephanie Plum book and the whole "cake or sex" conversation had me giggling. I slept really well but the allergies are murder today. I took some normal zyrtec and the pharmacy is trying to get my nasal spray refilled. At least we know that the spray is really the biggest contributor to my well being, as I had figured out last year, but being without it for the last few days has really made the case all over again.
I'm hoping to get the house picked up tonight before victory hall so mel and I can go out to grandma's for the spinning open house tomorrow. I'd sit and embroider some more but I might also get my drop spindle out and try some more. I really want to know how to spin. Its urking me that I don't know how right now. But in a few weeks at the fiber retreat I plan on getting in some good tutorial and practice. Really looking forward to the retreat since there are things I want to learn and do. I really, really do.
